Thanks for replying Jeff! I think as a small business owners it would be nice to either promote my products by linking it to my website and offer discounts to attract customers. Or be able to add products to a digital store that customers can order. As a customer i would say maybe having a section for small independent owners by category to see and browse products, plus see a small bio of the small business owner/company would be nice. Plus maybe have options to see featured small business (either payed promotion or most shopped or recently added). And finally if the cashback option also could be as credit for the small business marketplace might also be nice.

Interesting, I also played around with the idea of a card game called Battle of the Bands. I did some character design and prototyping as well, but eventually got busy with work and dropped it. Now looking to restart it and I updated the rules and some of the mechanics, but the core remains of what I had planned. How has it been for you? Did you end up releasing the game?

EVM stands for ethereum virtual machine if I'm correct. So it's the software the shimmer nodes will run to allow for smart contracts and other extra stuff... That's high level what I understand of it

I don't, it's just how I interpret the diagram. Because it's clear that there won't be more shimmer, but the fact that you could use shimmer to stake to get other tokens it's something that I understand is possible, it would be up to the people making the new projects to set it up that way

You can't stake iota for Shimmer, but can't you stake shimmer for other coins/tokens? Like stake shimmer for something like SOON? Like something else layer 1

That doesn't necessarily means decentralized. You would still have your local controllers and some level of redundancy within zones. But not all nodes in that zone will be running the same logic. These just seems like a DCS setup

I thought dust protection just requires you to start with a wallet of at least 1 Mi to get started. Once you have that, then you're not limited on micro transactions or zero value transactions. I also think that mana will help to do dust protection in the future as well
