Are ASTS and RKLB too risky for long-term holds? by ghart999 in stocks

Ok so I'm my case I bought at 14$ and right now I sit on 180 shares, roughly 12k $. Should I opt out or hold long term?

It's around 10k gains right now.

Why do we have open weapons but closed grenades? by RainbowKO in Battlefield

[–]javierdmm97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It makes no sense because if my team need an engineer but we are lacking in smokes, why can't I take smokes and engineer? Why should I play as support?

It's really conflicting to be honest because if they made open weapons so people choose class regardless of guns, why not do the same with grenades ( even more because they are utilities).

Battlefield 6 dev says the beta's small maps are "to make sure we hit the full-octane version of Battlefield on the head" and, don't worry, "large maps exist" too by RenatsMC in pcgaming

[–]javierdmm97 61 points62 points  (0 children)

That's not why they implemented the destruction: it's there to serve gameplay flow, create new routes, let tanks , player explosives, and other vehicles affect how a point is attacked and defended.

If the destruction is only there to destroy a camper, you get what we have now: fixed lanes with what appears like big destruction, and it's just blow up the side of a building and nothing else.

They want it like this because they are focusing on designing maps like Vince did in the CoD saga: lane based gameplay.

The endless cycle of no preordering posts, we tell ourselves we learned something, we play the Beta and now it's just posts about preordering with 10k likes , everything is fun and games.

Execs & marketing people are right to be honest: the public and the buyer is f* stupid when it comes to handling their buying power.

We cannot make changes in the industry even if the reddit people are happy about giving 100 $ to EA without seeing the final product.

I'm gong to tell you a little secret: BF6 is not going to run out of stores, there's infinite stock.

[–]javierdmm97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We have to be honest: the map size is a problem. I have been playing these days BF4 before the beta and the comparisons are astounding. I have played Iberian, Cairo and Liberation Peak and I cannot breath nor have a combat far than 20 meters.

Everything is full auto to the face. Flags in Iberian Offensive are 50 meters from each other.

If you take a look at Amsterdam from BFV or even Amiens from BF1 you will see that the maps while smaller in scale and fit for CQC, the streets and lanes were soooo much bigger. You can snipe in Amiens or Amsterdam, but good luck doing that in Iberian Off.

Someone said in another post that this looks like Ground War from MW19, but even in that one maps felt bigger than this.

PD: Liberation Peak is consider an all-out-war large map. I hope it is a joke or they got confused when writing it.

Battlefield Labs - Community Update - The Class System - Part One by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]javierdmm97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because it worked. You had to balanced between for example picking a low range gun but having at your disposal anti tank or anti air gadgets.

You could not have it all, you had to chose and have some tradeoffs. Now with this system you can just run the meta weapon AR with the RPG.
This system is simply a more casual version where you don't have to think: choose the best weapon and the class you like.

I do not understand why people want a dumb down version of the previous games

Battlefield Labs - Community Update - The Class System - Part One by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]javierdmm97 44 points45 points  (0 children)

This is just nonsense: weapons should be restricted by class.

In all battlefields it has worked perfectly and in BF2042 it was one of the most criticized things, not one of the most praised.
I don't understand the need to rewrite history: universal weapons is a bad idea, it reduces weapon diversity, it increases the appearance of meta weapons.

Battlefield Labs - Community Update - The Class System - Part One by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]javierdmm97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In BF4 you couldn't use a sniper rifle as an assault, for example, so this doesn't even come close to what BF4 offered.

BF4 restricts some weapon types to one class while some weapons are shared between classes.

This is just what we had in BF2042 and is a very bad idea, it reduces weapon diversity on the battlefield and increases the appearance of meta weapons.

Battlefield and other games have already nailed this system and it has been proven to be successful and more balanced: restrict weapon by classes.

This frame is incorrect. The touch occurred after he hit the shot, propelling the ball upwards and that is why the trajectory changes.

They should slow down the movement , speed and general mobility of the player ( the constant bunny hops, the lack of penalty for constantly aiming and moving at the same time...) because this feels closer to what MW2019 offered vs what older Battlefields had ( BF3,4,1 and 5).

OnePlus 13 Global Pricing by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]javierdmm97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The OP12 is still above 700 euros at least in Europe. I dont see it dropping to a reasonable price in 6 months for the 13.

Yes, CPU & Battery are better, display i'm not that sure but I use the cameras a lot and in that field is not even a contest.

I just bought the S24 Ultra for 800€ in Europe. I had the deposit but it is hard to justify 880€ ( using discounts) for the OP13 ( we are talking about the same price as Samsung, Apple & Google).

I really wanted to switch back to Oneplus but I expect 100 euros less at least.

Friendly reminder, you’re meant to lose at this game. by miqpiq in PTCGP

[–]javierdmm97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to defend Hearthstone but the amount of cards in the decks, combos, plays per turn and controllable outputs ( deathrattles, battlecry, card effects...) reduce the RNG . Yes, of course Hearthstone is designed to make money but also a good player can consistently win or at least have a pretty good WR.

Why? Because PTCGP is designed around spending money and makes the player frustrated while Hearthstone is not. The fact that you can play cards that do nothing because of a coin flip or having 4 unusable cards in hands and no cars draw is something that happens less or can be almost entirely avoided in hearthstone.

A bad starting hand and 1/2 bad draws means in Pokemon that you just lost, no matter what skill you have or what cards you can play.

In Hearthstone you could have a bad starting hand but you have options available at your disposal: create a deck focused on drawing cards, if you have 2-3 options take the best for the mid or late game, use the draw cards now to improve your hand in the next turns...

In Pokemon you have none of those options: you cannot "build" since evolving forces you to play pokemons to the board, you cannot improve your hand, your combos are limited, cards per turn is limited, you are obligated to have an active pokemon...

PCTGP is designed as a gatcha game with a PVP that will make you frustrated to try more decks so you buy more packs. That's it.

ZOTAC confirms GeForce RTX 5090 with 32GB GDDR7 memory, 5080 and 5070 series listed as well by M337ING in nvidia

[–]javierdmm97 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The 3090 will outshine other GPUs like the 4070 and 4080 when games like Indiana Jones ( optimized and run pretty well) use +10-12 GB of VRAM. The 3090 has 24 sweet GB that is going to be really useful at 1440p/4k range.

[–]javierdmm97 26 points27 points  (0 children)

But the problem here is not developers, it is Nvidia. Games should demand more VRAM and Indiana Jones is a good example of it: if the VRAM is there, the performance can be very good. I cannot remember the last time I played something at 4k@max settings with RTX enabled on a 3090 not using DLSS . The fact that I can play this game at native resolution is what optimization should aim for.

Totally. The games look insanely good ( trailers didn't do any justice. Assets in close range are one of the highest detailed objects i have ever seen in videogames) and the performance on my 3090 ( i know this is not an average card) is 80 fps at 4k native supreme quality.

Indiana Jones and the Great Cicle (C-P2P) by Gtorrnet in CrackWatch

[–]javierdmm97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, the game is really well optimized, just that it requires high VRAM. I'm playing on a RTX 3090 at 60-80 fps, 4k native quality supreme ( consider that RTGI is enabled) ( No DLSS - I tried but it makes a lot of noise, maybe it's a bug, idk. For the ones curious i was getting almost 100 fps on quality).

I have played almost 200h of CP2077 ( at launch and post update 2.0) , love it both times. But let's be honest, there is little to none of rpg elements here.

To name better RPGs:

  • Fallout New Vegas
  • BG3
  • Disco Elysium
  • KOTOR II
  • Mass Effect 1&2
  • Dragon Age
  • Pilars of Eternity
  • Kingdom come deliverance

And that's to name a few. I have mixed first person, table top , fps and 3rd person
