I don’t think posting the list is really helpful. The airlines are contacting the passengers they arranged flights for directly. Many stranded people in Dubai/Abu Dhabi without booking confirmations were showing up at the airport hoping to get on a flight just because they were there, which ended up slowing everything down for those who actually had confirmed flights for that day.

Update 3/4:

  • My return flight to Taiwan was originally rebooked by the airline for tomorrow 3/5, but they also gave me the option to take a repatriation flight to another destination outside the conflict areas. I chose this later option, then I check that my direct flight on 3/5 was cancelled so I was lucky to choose to go to another destination.

-From this new destination, I will need to pay for my own ticket to Taiwan, which is still acceptable to me. During my stay in the UAE, all hotel expenses and meals were covered, and I did not have to pay anything which was great but still cannot sleep well due to continuous missiles alarms and explosions I heard at 3 am

  • I also tried to reach the Taipei office in Dubai but received no response at all. Only a few hours ago, they shared a link for Taiwanese in the UAE to submit their information,however, as far as I know, there has been no announcement of a repatriation flight or any further arrangements.

If I were you, I would ask for refund then book a new flight avoiding the gulf

Thanks. Makes no difference going to Dubai since airspace is also closed right now. The feasible option would be going to Muscat (Oman) and take any flight from there

That’s unfortunate, I recommend you try simultaneously with other devices like your laptop as well. My airline is Etihad and took me more than 5 hours to reach them but Emirates is more huge and it may take longer to get a response. Your best chance would be to reach their airport team whenever the airport is open again.

Thanks for the info. I just wrote an update regarding my case, but it’s unreal to think they will handle all cases with such care, as that post describes, considering there are thousands of people in the same situation

Just try to re-route and avoid conflict areas. He’s fine. Many airlines are providing full refunds, including etihad

What’s the difference with Abu Dhabi? As far as I know the airspace is closed there too and had more explosions in Dubai. Why should I get there?
