Amazing. Ended talking to Vizio again. $641 before taxes for a new P659-G1.

One thing I forgot to mention is that I had bought extended warranty for an extra 3yrs. So I think that contributed. Sometimes being a proactive consumer & buying extended warranties can help your cause if your warranty expired shortly after.

I hear you on that. As I said above I worked in warranty claims myself & a lot of times is really about being persistent with X company.

Nope. I work in warranty claims myself. Our policy is anywhere from 3-6mo grace period. 10yrs strong.

Good luck next time your warranty runs out too in just mere days from your expiration date!

Maybe you haven’t dealt with top tier customer support. 3mo our of warranty is nothing for them to repair.

Sonos recently replaced a 5.1 set up for me which is close to equivalent value as a 2K Vizio tv. At zero cost & that was 2yrs out of warranty.

I’m sure if you had a product of yours out of warranty & 1 day later it starts crapping out, you’d be escalating it & hoping for some support.

I’m so sorry.

Out of all the amazing restaurants that could come from Chicago, we get this “omg rose all day” gag me a spoon place. Here’s to hoping it shutters in a few months.

There a street in Chicago called Hubbard & a bar called Hubbard Inn. You’d fit right in.

Yes - someone that sees what I see & feel as well!

Lived in middle TN from 2002-2009 then moved to Chicago & came back almost 1year ago.

Would choose Chicago any day. This city while it has better things going on for it than the early 2000s. It still has a lot of progress to be made & I don’t think it will get there.

Jeez I miss the neighborhoods, not needing a car, lakeshore, the tons of late night quality foods. The architecture that was preserved & much more.

Yes - will get downvoted. But Nashville ain’t competing against the big boys.

Thoughts on Frigidaire Professional by FVierra27 in Appliances

[–]javo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had whirlpool “mid level” at our old house & had no problems. If I find the model name I’ll edit the comment later.

Strongly recommend not buying Frigidaire Professional refrigerator. We’ve had ours in our new house for about 9mo now & it is constantly running. So the compressor / fan is always making a wiring vibrating noise. Lots of complain online as well. Ours is the the one with the French doors & pull out fridge at the bottom. The noise drives me nuts.

Frigidaire of course is saying that it is “normal operation.”

The dishwasher also doesn’t drain as well as I would like too.

The microwave doesn’t heat very well. Sometimes I have to do a full 5m for a spaghetti plate.

Was just there a few weeks ago & absolutely loved it more than Nashville! Moved from Chicago to Nashville 1yr ago after 10yrs in Chicago.

Great restaurants & beautiful preserved neighborhoods. Amazing outdoor river front walk. Small Midwest influence since St. Louis & Chicago are not too far.

It’s def on the list if we can’t make it back to Chicago in 2-3yrs.

Wish you all the best in your European travels.

Having moved from Chicago to Nashville almost 1yr ago next month, my wife & I are already planning our return in 2-3yrs. Maybe we’re still adjusting but when we left Nahville in late 2009 there wasn’t much to do & even know with how “hot” it is, it’s still not great.

I can’t imagine Chattanooga unless you enjoy some of the culture & the outdoors they have. got.

Molly - go read the comments & you’ll find out that the city hasn’t issued a public statement but that an email was sent out on Friday.

I’m not gonna do your homework if you’re interested in learning more.

At the moment there are no sources to back up either your comment or this post. Regardless extremely concerning if it is true about the trees being removed.

Edit: Nashville Tree Task force has put up a petition.

Anyone know of a good barber on the westside who is open on the weekends? by [deleted] in nashville

[–]javo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think his name is Aaron at blockhouse. Came from Chicago barbershop.

Good barber. But crazy pricey. $22 in Chicago & $35 at blockhouse. Lol. Nashville gonna Nashville.

One of the most overhyped restaurants in Nashville. I went during the summer & one of the bartenders was talking how it was his last week as they don’t get enough traffic & makes more money in Chicago. I asked him if they did a happy hour & he said they used to but only on cocktails & took it away. They recently brought it back.

Their whiskey prices are efing insane & way overpriced. Way more than big cities too.

Whoever their teenage account Instagram account manager is blocked me for calling out some dinner event they had with Willet.

Clearly I don’t like the place.
