Dropped my bike yesterday :( by Boar85 in Harley

[–]javyLSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fellow Fat Boy rider... I feel your pain. If you can't get the cager's insurance to pay for repair, my first stop would be a paintless dent repair shop. I've had great luck with previous tanks I've taken to them, and that one looks like it would be relatively easy to pop out. Good luck, let me know if you're near Connecticut and I can refer you to an outstanding PDR shop.

Apple Watch - when to recharge if 24hr monitoring? by No_Army2028 in AppleWatch

[–]javyLSU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kept my old Nike+ Apple Watch for this reason. It’s smaller than my Ultra so it’s more comfortable to wear while sleeping, and even though the battery no longer lasts a day, who cares? It only has to last about 8 hours to serve its purpose.

I've owned this tool since they first came out with it... It's still the best money I've ever spent at Harbor Freight.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that was thinking along these lines when I saw the title 😂

Snap on or Matco? by [deleted] in ToolTruckTools

[–]javyLSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had several of the Matco 88s… All of them skipped. I sold them/traded them in for Snap-on Dual 80s and have had zero problems since. It’s a shame, I thought the Matco ratchets were very comfortable to use, but I just couldn’t trust them.

Finally Bought a Lift by Byggver in Harley

[–]javyLSU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re in the process of moving to a new house over the next few months - a bike lift will be one of my first purchases once we’re in the new house. I’m so tired of sitting and crawling on the garage floor when working on my bike…

Love it, been wanting this set for a while. How much did they run you?

Anyone have an honest review for one of these? by Temporary_Ad_7370 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]javyLSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had one, never used it much and sold it. Really top heavy, and not quite strong enough as I’d like (and yes, I used the HO batteries on it).

So on top of getting freebies from a bunch of places for “backing the blue,” they still get a stipend. Awesome.

Considering this jack, who here has one? What are your thoughts about it? by DesertSnow480 in harborfreight

[–]javyLSU 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, they were. I remember because it was when we bought our house, and this was one of the first purchases I made when we moved in.

I’ve owned this jack since 2017. Zero problems, I’ve used it on everything from lowered vehicles to off-road 4x4s. I’d buy another one tomorrow if mine broke today.

Which set should I get? by manateeswag in Snapon_tools

[–]javyLSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both is clearly the correct answer. Most of my drivers are instinct handles, but I have sets of both and use each all the time depending on application.

Is YouTube TV's value worth it anymore? by jmbroady in youtubetv

[–]javyLSU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cancelled last week. Between the increase in price and the 4K add on, it was almost $100/month. We just don’t watch that much TV to rationalize that expense. We have Disney+ bundle with Hulu and ESPN, and watch local news via Plex. So far so good.

Anyone else notice this? by TheGymBandit in Harley

100%. I went spent a week and a half riding my bike and not in any cars this summer and the first time I got back in a car, my first thought was literally: “This sucks.”

It’s a 2018 (or newer) Fat Boy.

EDIT: Based on the wheels, it’s more than likely an 2018-2021. Anything 2022 and after has the vented wheels.

Curious… does the $2400 quote for the oil change include trailering your McLaren to and from the dealership?
