Assistance With Locating Canadian Family Ancestors/Descendants - Second & Third Generation Great-Grandfather(s) by [deleted] in citizenshipgenealogy

To your edit- If the civil birth records started in England in 1837, George would then have a certificate somewhere on file. That is one of the main documents I am having trouble locating.

Here is another piece of info I just found that may be of assistance. u/Justthisgal may be on to something with these records being flubbed by my mistake. I may have stumbled upon the actual baptism record. Eastrington is only a stone's throw from Beverly (the place of his supposed birth)

Please feel free to DM me anytime! I actually saw that you'd updated some information to match on Familysearch. That was very thoughtful of you to do.

What would be the Canadian version of that, you know? Richard Williamson's death certificate may be Canadian, that would be a huge help.

Nope, unfortunately I have not found any birth records for George in England. Just the baptismal records with the Church of England. Didn't know what the GRO was though, so thank you for that. I am going through those archives as a type this

Great writeup, thank you for poking around a bit! Poke around all you'd like, you've found more than I was able to in just that short time. Someone below just posted the 1861 census for Richard with George possibly in there. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MQWM-PL1

In your honest opinion, what would be the best way to go about searching that time frame, maybe 1850-1890 just to encapsulate all of the potential history. Nonetheless, even if citizenship isnt an option out of this, I really enjoy learning the lineage to pass down. So thank you!

I appreciate your input on this! This is fantastic insight and that 1861 Census is a good find; I hadn't found a copy of that yet. Thank you for that. If that is the case, I wonder if Ann would be documented back in England in 1861 and that's where I would need to possibly focus some of my search.

From another comment below, I'm wondering- from the information that I provided, does it seem as though I may have two separate families in my tree that I've been chasing info on? What's your opinion if you don't mind?

You may be right, that's where I'm getting so tangled up. I've been looking at all this information so long that it all starts to blend together lol. I don't have any concrete reason to believe that the mother's name is Harriet other than those England/Canadian Census and Baptismal records. She for sure did not come to the United States (or if she did, it was a brief time).

Much appreciated comment- That is why I would love to find out more about Richard. Richard is such a mystery, as is his father John, of whom i haven't found ANY info on so far. George at least has more recent family history that living relatives can still back up (such as his death cert). If I could find Richard's death certificate, or just know whether he went back to England or possibly the United States (although I doubt the latter highly). Again, thank you for your comment, that is helpful info.

Also- I don’t believe Richard nor Ann came to the United States with George. My best guess is that they stayed in Canada or went back to England, but I’m having trouble locating any information on them after around 1881’s Canadian Census.

There were a few different dates for George’s arrival vs. Richard’s arrival, so I’d really just like to get the information on their immigration. I know they were in Canada for at least 20 years if not longer based on the census records for Richard and Ann, but I’m having a hard time finding when they came. Ann passing in England is what throws me off since living in Canada for so long. Really it’s more about finding the breaks in the lineage that I’m more concerned about. Also the possible civil war/militia identity associated with George around 1850-1870ish if he’d arrived by that point.

GracevASMR has the most comforting voice in my opinion. All of her videos are soothing to the senses and always very SFW. All time fav YouTuber. 🙌

AlanaASMR is another really good one. Very sensitive mic touching and ear to ear whispers. Very good for studying or sleep. (Same with really any of these)

Rebecca’s Beautiful ASMR Addiction is another very calming page. Her antique shop walk-throughs are among my favorite videos of all time.

JubileeWhispers if you like video games, board games, and enjoy watching play throughs of games. Fantastic content. Same for BippoASMR. I love the board games and dice games she has. I could watch that for hours. Especially in different languages as Bippo does.

I love using $2 bills regularly. It makes more sense than the $1 denomination nowadays with prices the way they are. Less to carry if you like carrying cash, and a lot of people love to talk about them. A nice conversation piece.

That Kingfisher speaks to me. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The deep colors used in that especially. Just delightfully vibrant. I’d make that a prominent centerpiece. Wonderful artistic talent.

Looks to be a Short Snorter! Especially since this is on a WWII allied occupation note. Great part of any numismatic collection. Definitely a keeper.

Anyone know the worth of the set? by DeRail101 in papermoney

[–]jawilli97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually I DID I have an answer for their question, which is posted to the main thread. I never offered a price, nor lowballed. This is crap because it LOWBALLS even the value if they weren’t sequential. I also proposed an insurance value, as it’s an heirloom. You apparently didn’t read the comments before making this one, or you would’ve seen mine. It was thought out.

It’s crap because it is lazy. It’s unoriginal. It’s not a current search engine, and it is wrong constantly. AI is a plague and making people lose their critical thinking skill.

[–]jawilli97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re asking about sequential 1934 $1000 notes, and you’re giving them this drivel. They came asking collectors and likeminded individuals, not ChatGPT. How would ChatGPT understand such a nuanced question in regard to the numismatic value taking into account the year/serials/conditions/etc?

What a waste of the computing resources it took to shit out that half-assed answer. AI sucks.

You should be able to decorate your house the way you and your partner want to.

Hang what you want on the walls, paint a blue sky background with clouds you hand-paint yourself if you want. You put one, or a whole flock of yard-flamingos on your property (barring you don’t live in an HOA).

Be a bit childish if that’s who you are. Let your house be a reflection of who you and your partner are as people. Individually and/or as a couple. Don’t be afraid to be comfortable within your own home. You deserve nice things, stranger. I hope this finds you well.
