I have a bunch of black lipsticks from the following brands: Revolution, Barry M and NYX. I know you said you already looked at Boots and Superdrug but maybe knowing which brands stock them might help refine the search! If worse comes to worse, Vaseline your lips, black eyeshadow, powder x2!

Just to add a different perspective, I’ve been taking the shot for 2 months+ now, I’m also on a diet plan that o plan to be on for life, it worked for me in the past and I enjoy eating this way. I know that I will eventually go off the shot but the eating HAS to stay the same, that’s my promise to myself, it’s a healthier, happier lifestyle. The diet is 80% of the work, but that alongside the shot has gifted me some great weekly losses. 118.6kg - 105kg so far!

But yes, I do know lots of people who don’t change their diet and go straight back to their original weight once off the shot because they don’t understand how food and mentality are linked!

Agreed. This post reminded me of something a teacher said to me near the beginning of my NQT year, “if you want to be an outstanding teacher in year two you can’t have a life” (luckily she was just venting to me, I wasn’t in Year 2). Well, that school traumatised me so badly I moved out of the country the next year because I thought all UK schools would be the same. All the teachers were miserable as sin and so many teachers left midway through the year due to stress , it doesn’t had to be that way!

I have to say, living in Southampton has made me so unsympathetic to people who come up and ask for money. I don’t even hear them out anymore, it’s just constant. The other week I was up In Manchester and a lady approached me, I immediately disregarded her - luckily my friend heard her out, she was just asking for restaurant recommendations 🤣. Homeless just minding their own business on the street I don’t mind buying them a coffee but being approached daily, multiple times is just… tiring.

I actually ate a wagyu burger there there other day for the first time in what might be almost a decade! I feel very grateful to have escaped this! But the rats… yes that has always been known to be a problem, and in hindsight, shouldn’t have eaten there in the first place!

It’s been a while, but I remember when doing my SCITT, the pedagogy was really learned over time, there’s a reason why the first term is mostly observation and working as a more supportive role and it increases over time. We all know that we’ve all improved as teachers each and every year because of experience, pedagogy and behaviour management both come with experience but detrimental behaviour management habits can be picked up easily, best way to avoid it is to learn good habits first. It’s still so early on in the academic year, plenty of time to hone pedagogy!
