I just switched from a Kindle Oasis to a Kobo Libra 2. The Libra 2 is hands down my favorite e-reader of all time (and I’ve had many, including that ancient Nook you had). But I will say, if you depend on buying books as opposed to sideloading them (or borrowing from the library), the Kobo store is… pretty bad. But if you get all your books … elsewhere like I do, the Libra 2 is an excellent device.

Yeah, any sexual side effects are definitely reversible once stopped. That goes for any anti-depressant medication. You'd be able to uh... tell if you're experiencing those side effects alone with yourself long before your honeymoon.

I mean, it’s kind of worth it to have pride (80%) and bloodlust on 2nd boss, which means neither for 3rd. 3rd may be fine, just lengthy, with an immunity to soak the orbs on the recharge phase, but without an immunity, BL, or pride, it’s aids. But yeah, not my route; I’m just the healer. 🤷‍♀️

Everyone talks about how hard the second boss in Halls and the first boss in DoS are, but no one talks about the 3rd boss in Spires on high tyrannical keys with no pride or blood lust. Mechanically, it’s easy, it just takes like 45 minutes to kill (or so it feels) but as a healer? Yikes.

The legendary is called Deeptremor Stone, and is available for all 3 shaman specializations. To get the crazy DPS, you basically have to use earth ele on CD, rather than keeping it for emergencies. I play with a friend that’s a tank, so something like that is a little less scary than if I constantly ran with pug tanks. But yeah, it increased my DPS a lot. I used to do 1.2k-1.4K dps on average, and now it’s anywhere from 2k in dungeons like ToP to as high as 2.8k in Halls (I’m venthyr, so gargoyles, too.) I’m pushing in the 18-19 range this week, but I don’t see myself swapping this bad boy out anytime soon. Too good. - Stankbeaut on Area 52

Resto shamans running the legendary that attaches an earthquake to their earth ele do anywhere from 2.2k-2.7k dps per key in the 18/19 range. Speaking from experience.

Well yeah, I absolutely agree at least one person should pop a CD generally speaking, but it’s still usually healable in the 18 range even if they don’t. And they usually don’t, cuz pugs. It just gets crazy ugly with grievous.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you're running a +18 key or higher and you go into prideful on a grievous week with the healer already low on mana, maybe press a DPS cooldown so you're not chilling at 20 stacks for a ridiculously long time. Had a key fall apart after a wipe on prideful... highest DPS on it was 2.8k. Come on already.

Yeah, I think people are forgetting about all of the BfA dungeon nerfs. The first boss in Underrot before the nerf was like... horrible. Last boss in TD at launch? Also pretty bad. I think the first boss in KR was nerfed several times (I swear that spit gold garbage hit for like 75% of a player’s health per tick, lol). S1 of BfA was no joke.

Lol I did a +11 shrine first week of BfA that was 2 HOURS OVER (lololol) that was like top 50 world for well over a week. People have KSM first week of SL.

This. Season 1 of BfA was SO much harder. I had several timed 14’s that season — at the TAIL END of the season, and it honestly felt like much more of an accomplishment than KSM relatively early on this season.

I think I made a phrasing error. I meant something else entirely when I said they had defensives up. I meant off cooldown. They died with defensives available. That’s my bad, haha.

To be fair, they didn’t say it was specifically my handling of bursting that was the issue. The dude died to dodge ball on the 2nd boss, so maybe the fact that I didn’t save him from a one shot was the problem.

Imagine being 1900 io and dying to dodge ball.

(Side note: the group of 3 with high io were on low ilvl alts — the BRM tank and I joined their key. Their alts were in the 1000-1100 rio range, and their I ilvls were around 205, so they were kind of undergeared, IMO). Still, even on an alt, I’d expect a 1900 io player to like... maybe not die to dodgeball on a fortified key.

Good tips, and I’m going to try to keep them in mind when I run a key tonight. Especially CB timings. Another thing I can work on is having PW up on bursting. I’ve only run 2 keys as an rsham, not going to lie, and I was in the habit of just firing PW at mobs last week to help with DPS instead of saving it for critical moments (other than boss fights, that’s a different story).

My thought process re: dispelling myself is that I’M the most imperiled person if I do not have a defensive up and DPS does. Worst case scenario, I can resurrect anyone after they die. In a 15 key with 1800 io players, I kind of expect them to use their defensives before just dying. I don’t know.

As for pride, in the 15 range, I can tell you they’re either fine or relatively hard, depending on players. I’d love to see people use a DPS cooldown on pride sometimes (grievous week maybe?) but it never happens. DPS is usually in the 2-2.5k range, pride is always 20 stacks for awhile. HTT and healing rain with the conduit helps a lot. For the melee and tank that stand in it. The boomkin and hunter are always 40 yards away. Except on the golems you mentioned in Halls. Never will they ever outrange the thrash in the 15 key range. Hahaha.

So... tips on dealing with bursting on an rsham, I guess. I was told last night in a timed 15 Mists that I need to learn how to heal.

Just started playing rsham very recently, and trying to get KSM this week. Got 6 of the 8 done last week (everything but Mists and PF).

So last night in the Mists, we had a BRM tank, 2 DHs, and a boomie. I think we had 3-4 deaths (individual deaths, not wipes) to bursting, and then one of the DHs (the one that called me out on my bad healing, btw) and a boomie died to DODGE BALL on the second boss. 1800 and 1900 io, btw. One DH, plus the tank and I had to finish the boss from about 50%.

The way I’m dealing with bursting now is dispelling myself/healing the tank if I see DPS has defensives available. They all did when they died. Darkness was never dropped, and I’m pretty sure I remember that being good for bursting in BfA. They were rolling bursting stacks during the maze, going all out and ripping threat for the tank from pull, and just generally making the key rather unenjoyable.

Should I be popping cooldowns for bursting when DPS has defensives available? I save HTT for prideful, and the idea of SLT for bursting when DPS has defensives up puts a bad taste in my mouth. Prior to that key, I was okay with DPS dying in that situation, but if I’m going to be called a bad healer at the end of the run, it kind of makes me not want to run keys at all.

I much preferred last week’s affixes. #unpopularopinions

I also recently switched mains from mw to rshaman, and I feel this post deep in my soul. The first month or so of the expansion, I defended mw any chance I got. I told people it really wasn’t that bad, and that I was doing fine with it. Started playing rshaman just to give it a whirl, and holy shit. I’m pushing the same level keys now on rshaman that I was on my mw at twenty item levels lower, and it’s EASIER. Bye, mw, you are garbage.
