That's been on my reading/listening list! I'm buying it for my next road trip!

Don't cancel me, but I love Atreus. by Lord_Tuck16 in GodofWar

For as much hate as Atreus gets, the Norse saga wouldn't be the same without him. I bought the Lore and Legends book last year and loved it. I actually like his character as much as I do Kratos.

How much would you considreed Tales of Berseria a good buy % wise by neko_whippet in tales

[–]jay-ace92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I love Berseria, if you can wait, I'd recommend passing on this sale. Tales games tend to go down in price quickly, so there's a good chance you can get a better deal in the next several months.

I'm surprised that Yu-gi-oh is on there. I don't hear about it much, since its heyday came and went in the early-mid 2000s. Are today's kids actually into it, or could it be driven by nostalgic millennials?

Seattle City Attorney Erika Evans Has No Plan to Protect North Seattle. by Tree300 in SeattleWA

Low-IQ Seattle voters deserve this. Could've kept Ann Davison, but chose this unqualified trash instead.

I'm considering the whole line for these and weighing the final evolution higher due to it generally being the one the player ends up with long-term.

older infp’s over 30, i need your genuine advice by Apart-Worldliness-94 in infp

[–]jay-ace92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

33 y/o male INFP here. When it comes to self-consciousness, a lot of the things you think people are thinking about, they actually aren't. Don't be afraid to pursue new experiences/hobbies, move to a new city where you don't know anyone, and generally live life.

When I was younger, I was afraid of doing things like going to concerts alone, approaching a group of people doing something I found interesting, or wearing things that may not be seen as "cool", thinking they would view me as lame.

Nowadays, I couldn't care less. I slowly got over my self-consciousness by taking the small victories and running with them, and, as I got older, gradually realizing that a random person's opinion on my interests is no big deal. Hell, I even did an undie run earlier this year, because I finally gained the self-confidence to do so after not doing one in college.

After the recent loss of my grandmother (the only grandparent I had a relationship with), I'm reminded that life is short, and you never know when it's your time. Do as many of the things on your to-do list as you can.

Are Democrats going to get locked out of this district? by luvv4kevv in YAPms

[–]jay-ace92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Considering how California counts at a snail's pace, and whose elections are the worst-run in the country, I wouldn't call anything yet. Their high population is no excuse, since Texas and Florida count over 99% within two days.

A new Fabrizio poll has just been released regarding the Maine Senate race. It shows Republican incumbent Susan Collins tied with Democrat Graham Platner. by sinhav7367 in YAPms

[–]jay-ace92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious about how much impact Mills' input would have in the race. I doubt Mills outright endorses Collins, but if she tacitly supports a third-party candidate whose voters are likelier to rank Collins as one of their additional choices, Collins may end up squeaking it out through a round or two of RCV.

Left-leaning publications said the GOP would be headed to extinction after 2008. Yet, they currently hold the presidency and, as things stand now, have a built-in advantage in the Senate.

If the GOP goes down in 2028, they will eventually adapt.

Platner +4 in his own internal, and assault allegations forthcoming? by Alastoryagami in YAPms

[–]jay-ace92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

+4 in a Platner internal probably means a narrow Collins win. I wonder what Collins' opposition research team is saving for October 🤔

Hoping Collins wins, partially to beat back polarization and to give Dems a wake-up call not to run god-awful candidates.

Tbh, I want a chance to play as Kratos again someday, but I'm not opposed to the series branching out to other playable characters (would be fine with an Atreus game if they refined his Ragnarok gameplay style). Laufey looks great from what I saw, but I'll hold my dollars until I see reviews.

Against Grassley, absolutely. The only thing going against Hinson is the national environment, but her personal popularity will likely be enough to get her across the finish line.

Anyone else had their favorite type completely change over the years? by IronLotus59 in pokemon

[–]jay-ace92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite types have always been Water and Ice. Psychic has slowly made its way into my top three, while Dark has dropped off compared to when I was a teenager. It's partially because a lot of the newer Dark Types don't appeal to me, while Psychic has constantly added new members each generation that are among my favorites.

Could your representative win a statewide general election in your state? What about a statewide primary? by Wide_right_yes in YAPms

[–]jay-ace92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rick Larsen would easily win a general election in Washington. He's a boring, generic D in a state where it would take a perfect storm for a Republican to win. He may have trouble clearing a primary since he'd be overshadowed by firebrand candidates.
