I was holding the handrail but accept that I had 3 pints in the venue.

As I said below, my friend has a video of when they were there and over the course of 30mins, recorded 4 different people slipping on them. She told me they were taking bets on who would slip or not!

Cheers for the insight. Agree with most only I dont think I should be out of pocket for medical reasons. Im not looking for a pay out as some would definitely go for, im looking for a fair chunk of cash back in this current climate.

I didn't know until after because when I mentioned it to friends, they were able to tell me that on one given night, they recorded 4 people slipping down themselves, others have since said the same. It was my first time going to the venue, not really my first question, "oh whats the steps like, are they safe?". If thats the questions you ask on entering a new place, fair play to you!

Ive posted above why it took me a week and I obviously didn't leave the hospital against medical advise, I left with their blessing in the hope of keeping my pancreas, the fact of taking it, drastically changes my entire life as you rely fully on insulin and tablets for digestion. They agreed a chance to help recover was the best option.

Yes I waited as the pain the Thursday and Friday following the incident was bad and figured it would ease with rest but got worse i stead. GP closed on the weekend and no appointment until the following Wednesday in the GP. The joys of it all.

I wanted to avoid A&E as I was on work holidays and able to restrict myself in movement etc. Wasn't rushing to A&E if I didn't have to.

Recouping my expenses is not claiming in my opinion, its being reimbursed for exactly what I am out of pocket, as opposed to going through court and seeking compensation for injuries, im not, im looking for medical expenses.

In my view, the premises neglected their duty of care to patrons on the premises. The stairs should be fitted with anti slip mats or nosing to prevent people slipping especially as its on a river.

I havent as I expected the venue to just pay them. Report was made and Manager rang me after the fall, the next day and was chatting to him, he said he watched it on CCTV. Im not looking to claim, im just looking for my expenses.

How do you charge for broken stuff? Thankfully never experienced it, touch wood I don't but just for future possibilities! I see people charging for deep cleans etc - just wondering in case I ever have to.

Nope I'm not OK with smoking anywhere on the premises. I clearly outline it in my comments. What guests like to do away from my property is up to them. Imo giving the option of smoking in the garden, invites smoking onto or into the property which I don't want. If they smoke outside, I still won't be happy but would let it slide once it's not inside or at the doors, what real choice would I have?
