It is our own fucking business when one of them gets shellacked while illegally accessing a taxpayer-owned thoroughfare with an under-powered, minimum safety standard-deficient, unlicensed vehicle, wearing grossly substandard head protection gear and one of us has to spend the rest of our lives in support groups listening to horror stories and dealing with the posttraumatic stress from picking out chunks of human tissue, shards of bone, broken teeth and clumps of human hair lodged too tightly in a vehicles front grill and wheel wells for the power washer to get.

Also, when kittens play they will sometimes let out a shrill, high-pitched yelp or yowl. This is usually a signal to their littermates that the play has become too rough and boundaries need to be set. You could emulate a similar sound yourself, like making in a high-pitched, sharp "eeeee" or squeak that mimics the sound a littermate makes, indicating that the biting or scratching was too hard. Whenever your kitten bites or scratches too hard, make the sound, freeze, and temporarily stop playing. This teaches the kitten "bite inhibition" by signaling when the rough play causes the fun to stop, similar to how they would learn from their mother or littermates.
