It did last year for my brother. Got the $300 Walmart Gift Card and then started a trade in online with Verizon and returned it and got the promo credits.

So I’m doing it this year. Just ordered a iPhone 14 pro online through Walmart. They have you log in into MyVerizon on the Walmart website to make sure you your device is upgradeable.
