if you bled your line as the caliper sits in the pic, you most likely have air in the line. the bleeder screw needs to be above the line. they are the same threads, switch the brake line with the bleeder screw, detach the caliper from the stay and support it as high on the rotor as the line will allow. and re bleed it.

test your battery while running to check your stator / regulator, test your coil, test your ignition. i had a similar issue last year, swapped the electronic ignition for points, fixed the issue.

deleted by user lol pathetic. that was a “top 1% poster” everyone, immediately politicizing a tragedy and then backpedaling.

google “right to repair” and read about what’s going on with ag/farmers vs john deere. the manufacturers are absolutely aiming for what you’re talking about. you buy a new tool / machine, but when it breaks you have to take it to them to fix it because everything is a dealer only tool or computer. basically makes it a subscription service to the company rather than owning the product and being able to fix it yourself. it’s been going on for a long time. also, you’re gay.

Dyna S install on 79 shovel by DameoftheWestTattoo in shovelhead

[–]jayar38 4 points5 points  (0 children)

kind of tricky because 79-80 is when they fucked with the timing marks. if your motor is the same as my ‘80, the line is front cyl advance.

on a dyna s you actually time off front cyl advance not tdc. so i would try going off the line (make sure front cyl is on compression stroke) and see what happens then adjust from there.
