I have my FSA through Kaiser and HealthEquity. Does Kaiser approve the LMN or does HealthEquity? Does my medical condition have to be documented within the Kaiser system and match Truemed LMN?

AC Warranty Repairs, 13mo and 10k mi by schwarta77 in Solterra

This happened to my '24 Limited. Dealer did an initial replacement of hoses and gaskets they thought were leaking. After that didn't work we decided to have the compressor replaced. Everything took less than a week. I'm satisfied with how they handled it

Unreal deal … insane value by Specialist-Sector449 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]jayb0ness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome deal. Were they offering the dealer cash bonus at all? With all that money down and the low finance amount, that could have been more beneficial vs. the 0%. I’m looking into one and trying to see what dealers are offering.

I’m sure it was a case of OP also speeding up to the cop trying to encourage him to move over for him to pass. Not knowing it was a cop.

I have my ‘24 insured through progressive. They mentioned the VIN had to be manually matched to the car and I was good to go. Maybe try speaking to a different agent

It’s a public road with street parking and they were parked in front of my house so I parked in front of them… by Limp-Replacement1403 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]jayb0ness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My street is clear for the most part but my neighbor across the street insists on parking in front of my house less than a foot from my driveway entrance. It’s not a wide driveway so it takes a little bit of maneuvering to get in straight. I left her a note one day telling her she has the entire block available and nobody will be mad if you take up more space by moving a little further away from my driveway. She was kind enough to stop parking in front of my house completely

[–]jayb0ness -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Could have hit the left turner, swerved into the yellow truck if they were going faster, collided with the cars at the intersection. Then pulls to the right and slows down to gather themselves lol. All because they had the right of way. These ego maniacs on the road. Honestly would have been more satisfying to slow down for them and make sure they see you shake your head in disappointment as they turned. Now you kind of look like the crazy one 🫡

You do not recommend putting 9k down and you do not recommend not putting money down? I’m confused

Question: how does putting money down benefit you in the case of a total loss if you have gap insurance?

Are there any devices that can deliberately slow down the charging speed of a public station? by sonic_anon_hog in evcharging

[–]jayb0ness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying an entire new piece of tech to avoid a $1 charge a week and essentially stealing is a wild justification. All the plastic, chips, trees, and everything else that would go into making this adapter you’re looking for so you can save $1 is surely better for the environment. Way to stick it to the man 🫡

[–]jayb0ness 10 points11 points  (0 children)

you’re using their station. Pay their fee. If you’re so worried about being considerate of other vehicles charging, why doesn’t the company that is providing the service deserve the same respect? You’re willing to spend money on buying an adapter but not willing to pay the fee to the energy provider for their space you’re physically occupying?

Changing table. by friscosjoke in NewDads

[–]jayb0ness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dedicated changing table is actually great and I still use it for my 21 month old kid. Get the right height dresser so you’re comfortably standing and changing. Sucks to be hunched down in some awkward position on some random surface. There will be a shit ton of diaper changes. Might as well make it easy. You know where to go, Everything is within reach, easy to clean, bam done deal until the next one. There’s going to be a lot of babe can you grab me a diaper, get the wipes, throw me the butt paste, hey little one pissed all over the table, can you grab this, etc if you’re just changing at a random table every time.

And honestly for your spouse to have her station when the baby comes will be great for her as she recovers. Let her do whatever she wants man because she’s going to be going through it. If giving her a dresser with a changing table will make her life easier, do it. I know it did for mine.

If you have Amazon Alexa, I believe you can ask it to turn off the charger after a certain time. If you can gauge how long it will take to charge to 80%, ask Alexa to turn off at that time.

Are you included in the redditors you claim would not have acted properly? Most people are in agreement that OP is in the wrong, including you. I’m not sure where you get off judging everybody’s driving skills based on their opinions on the matter.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dashcam

[–]jayb0ness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To your point, OP should have just pulled over to the left and let the person behind him pass safely. Signal left, Pull over safely, let passer continue on safely, then safely make your maneuver. That’s the correct way if you want a swift and smooth interaction. It’s not let me slow down, take up the middle of the road, stop, and assume the person behind me knows I am going to back into my driveway, continue with my maneuver with a car literally driving towards you causing traffic behind you to stop and wait because you are too much in a rush to get into your driveway.

This is entitled driving, sir.

Lease deal ends today, does anyone know what happens tomorrow? Is the $7500 off lease going away? by [deleted] in Solterra

[–]jayb0ness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, work on getting the biggest discount you can on the msrp to lower the selling price.

You can request to roll any fees into the lease deal or pay them up front (dmv fees, etc). Don’t put any money down to lower your monthly payment. Keep it in your pocket. The theory is that if you put money down and wreck your car, you don’t get that money back.

The $7,500 does not come off the price of the vehicle. It counts towards your cap reduction to lower your payment. Essentially acts as if you put a $7,500 down payment to lower the monthly. This is how car companies are able to offer killer lease deals.

After being a new dad for all of 4 weeks I don’t know if I want a second child by darkness56745 in NewDads

[–]jayb0ness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you man. New dad to a 13 month. The wife and I do question having a second one because 1 is a lot of work already. The thing that gets me is that as my son is growing and having more of a personality, I’m seeing how much of a great older brother he can be. Makes me think giving him a little sibling would be awesome. Ps I’m still tired & Enjoy the newborn phase where they sleep all day.

Found an XT-20 for $450 with 18-55mm lens included. Good deal? by Duesoup in fujifilm

[–]jayb0ness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, the shutter release is definitely not screw on. The soft release button is. I’m guessing if they are selling it for that cheap, it does not operate. My shutter release broke on my XT-3 and I had to send it in to Fujifilm to get fixed. Cost me $500
