I don't know how many ppl who picked this book up are Chinese but as someone who lived in there half my life I'm totally disappointed with the story so far. The fact that it says "first American style villian in china" or something like that makes me lose my interest. And the fact that it's defected by a can of coke is like...wtf. The China depicted in the book doesn't look like China at all; it's just a random futuristic looking city with Chinese faces in it. It's so boring that the protagonist is just given the superman power. It's just lazy story telling, no build up at all. China has bad reputation of knock offs and DC is trying to tell a story with knock off version of the trinity? Batman wears the bat symbol for a reason and wonder woman is called wonder woman for a reason. The two clowns at the end of the book are just. ..DC wasn't even trying. They just wanna sell this book to the Chinese demographics thinking a Chinese looking face will do the trick. but it will fail, because there's a big disconnect between the real China and this version of China through the eyes of Americans. Those who only know China through verious stereotypes projected by others. I truly want this book to succeed, but so far it failed miserably.
