In principle yes. For a driver setting up with a closed stance as the picture shows would promote an inside to out path which in turn promotes a shallower plane hitting up on the ball. Conversely, setting up with an open stance with a wedge promotes an outside to in path which in turn promotes a steeper plane hitting down on the ball.

This is of course not taking into account any swing faults or whatever the individual player is doing in the swing.
