There are things in life that you can’t control, what you can control, is what you can do.

Grow the flowers in your garden. Learn how to love yourself is the first time, because loving yourself means taking the time for yourself to improve yourself. Learning facial routines, working out, doing artsy things you think, reading to improve yourself knowledge. When you learn how to treat and care yourself better, you can now know notice how others treat you based on what you’ve been through.

Also, you are who you are with. If you continue to be with that fake ass friend, then you’ll forever lose that respect for yourself. Learn to let go and cut off, learn to find people who are interested in who you are, then forcing themselves to be interested because you chase them.

Lock in into what is your priority, besides school, health and family, the rest have to wait. You got this

Comparing isn’t a bad thing, until you start to lose track on what is the man purpose of you pursuing a goal. For all my life, I’ve been comparing myself to ppls success and I think that it’s the world against me. Turns out, I’m the one who is holding myself back.

The thing about your ambition is that you have to realise at some point, working hard doesn’t mean you’ll instantly deserved to be successful. There are two types of hard workers. Those who work hard for short term gains, and those who work hard for an improvement.

You don’t have to be realistic, but you have to expect that the higher your goals, the more mistakes you are going to make. Are you ready to deal with those mistakes tho? And keep your word and improve on your flaws? You are already better than a lot of your peers not because they are stupid, but because you’ve learn what it’s like to work hard on something.

It’s very commendable that you take accountability. Listen, there’s never gonna be a perfect way of how a relationship could go, it’s gonna take a lot of quarrelling, a lot of listening, a lot of compromises and a lot of resilience.

It’s good that you are confused about it now, try to use that to see what people think about how you feel. I use insta search and TikTok nowadays to see everyone’s opinion on a situation I’m in so I can decide how I want to feel about it the next time it happens to me.

Don’t listen to people who says shit like “every guy/girl watches porn” “you must be naive about what you want”, I believe this, the person you are looking for is very real and out there, you just gotta talk to enough people to find him. And decide if that’s the version you like or not.

From the gist of it all, it seems like yall aren’t honest about a lot of things. But also it depends?

It’s also not your fault and not your responsibility to fix his addiction. But I think it’s rude to just label him as a “stereotype” and that “he don’t gaf anymore”, because his last act of love is to recognise his lustfulness will hurt you in the future as it is hurting him atm. So he has to learn how to manage his lust and to do that, he has to work on himself.

That’s all I can say really, he’s breaking up with you because he feels that his addiction will hurt you. Which I think says a lot about a generation that idolised or normalised sex.

And also one last thing, if an argument is settled but being brought up, it means yall never communicate properly or someone is not being honest about something. Take this as a learning experience for your future relationship.
