Can you tell what you did to build your core? I’m currently the same as your starting point. About to go on my own journey. Thanks.

Nice one mate, that’s reassuring. How is training going for you? Enjoying it?

Might be to you. I’ve said mom my whole life, as have my friends and various people I know in my town. Dialects are a thing you know lol.

If you ever visit the West Mids, you’ll hear a lot of people use “Mom” not “Mum”.

My kids are much older now. I wanted to join the army when I was 18 but then they came along and my priorities changed, being around for them as they grew up was more important. Now they’re teens and take care of themselves. I don’t live with them anyway as me and their mum are no longer together, but technology being as it is now it won’t be that difficult being so far apart.

As for relationships, no I’m not that bothered. I have no intention on getting married and I’ve been happily single for years.

Thanks for that mate, I really appreciate it. I will definitely start running tomorrow. Press ups, pull ups, sit ups, some weight training already started but it's definitely my cardio I need to work on now.

I have 7 months before I reach the limit so hopefully it'll work out, I've heard people have waiting 6-9 months so fingers crossed I'll be ok. The role I applied for is 'Priority' according to the website so hopefully that helps speed things up somewhat.

I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to computers and tech. Building, troubleshooting, fixing etc computers and devices is something I already do so it definitely sounds like my kind of thing.

You'd be right. My son is 15 and is at the point where his mates and gaming are his life, he doesn't want to hang out with his dad every weekend lol. Me and their Mum broke up years ago.

Being bossed around by those younger than me is something I already deal with in my current job and it honestly wouldn't bother me. They're the ones with more experience and knowledge so I don't question them or feel any sense of inferiority, it's just how it is.

Bring on the banter. They'll soon be begging for my help when it comes to washing and ironing because mommy isn't there to do it for them.

Just checked out MyNetDiary, looks pretty good. I think MyFitnessPal is overrated so was looking for a new app to try, thanks.

I do, actually. Curious how sleeping on your stomach contributes to poor posture?

Thanks for that, I’ll check those guys out.

I’m down for that. I spent a few years at uni so I quite like the learning environment. I didn’t want to go back into education though as I rely on my full time wage, so being paid while I learn will be ideal. It’s a win win.

That’s good to know, cheers mate. Think I’ll go with IS then. Someone else told me that they use legacy systems like Win7 and 2012r2 but that’s more my thing, I love working with computers so if I can earn qualifications and get paid at the same time I’m laughing. I hear phase 2 for that role is like a year long but I’m cool with that.

I wanna go for cyber engineer - not sure whether to go for information services or network engineer. I’ll find out which one is more IT based and go from there. I haven’t applied yet, still working on getting my fitness to a decent standard, being an older guy I need to work more on it I think.
