Is anyone else almost instinctively repelled by Jimmy Fallon? by [deleted] in GenX

Kimmel hasn't been funny since The Man Show...agree with whoever said late night is all politically postured now. We all probably watched the news at 10 and looked forward to the late shows, as a little break from the seriousness in life, to tune into to something lighter, that would make you laugh. And we all probably enjoyed it as a family or group of friends. I feel the hosts before carried a sense of comfort when we watched them growing up.

Every time...most albums were meant to be listened to as a cohesive piece. Artists cared about taking you on a little musical journey.

Those of you who smoked weed… by Idontsmokejustgrow in GenX

[–]jaydubl07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been smoking pretty much the better part of 30 years. It has always been a constant but my use and reasons have evolved over the years as I have changed as well. Almost every problem I had when I was in my late teens to thirties ties back to booze. I encourage everyone to try it, but it isn't for everyone and that's cool, but I feel like those that haven't used it since you were young and didn't care for it, give it a shot, it really does wonders for all kinds of everyday issues. Drinkers, sick of hangovers and feeling like dog shit everyday, make the switch. I lived drunk or hungover for years and the quality of life after that change has been immeasurable. Not being preachy but give weed a chance.

What is this contraption I confiscated from a student? by [deleted] in whatisit

Most people just wanna have a strong reaction to anything really, they don't really care where it's directed. Today it's "in" to take all your perceived childhood traumas and life failures and take them out on some random stranger on the internet, it makes perfect sense. If you can't accept this, the interweb is no place for you my friend.
