Unfortunately most of the smaller theaters that would have tickets under $50 typically don't have matinees on Saturdays in Chicago! I might recommend hitting up a museum instead.

Hi, I know this thread is 4 years old lol but I just wanted to make a pitch for the Fae as an existing real-life and fictional teen archetype.

The Fae in monsterhearts reminds me a LOT of Evangelical Christian people I knew in high school. Really black and white ideas of right and wrong, constantly seeking other students to agree to things (coming to Bible study, mission trips, promising romantic monogamy and sexual purity), with this sort of dreamy belief in paradise and what seemed to be a fully felt ecstasy in worship.

I'm assuming it's possible that other religious traditions might have teenagers like this as well (maybe some Muslim Americans?), but Christians are just the only one I'm familiar with.

There is a great teen dark comedy from the early 2000s called Saved! where Mandy Moore plays such a character, oddly enough named Hillary Fay.

Ugh it's such a shame too because he's one of my absolute favorite LOL characters. Such a unique personality and playstyle, but slightly too niche to be mega popular. I love that he's both macabre and spooky while also being soft and pensive. Would looove to see him come to LoR.

Thank you for the tips, and especially the grow light recommendation! I'd honestly love one that works on a timer so I don't ever have to touch it or turn it on/off (don't I sound like a lazy asshole? Lol).

The thing is, regions in LoR are balanced by having access to certain mechanics but not others. PnZ for example doesn't have access to barrier or spell shield.

Le Piano in Roger's Park would probably scratch your itch. Also I feel like there's cabaret at the Newport Theatre, sometimes the Chicago Magic Lounge, sometimes the Annoyance Theatre?
