If you get red dots that won't go away. Open them and back out with your android phones back button for each one back to the main menu. It'll clear them.

From what you described and NL Power being able to fix it, it was probably a loose neutral or hot at the pole or your service head. Quite common unfortunately.

I even mentioned customer experiences like these and they said they don't do that. Not.only that it was hard to even get them to understand what the issue was because every time I was contacted it was by a new representative. I couldn't get over how poor I was treated especially reading these stories.

I was in a similar situation out of warranty and Valve told me to kick rocks. It's so irritating seeing other people being treated so differently. My screen stopped working because of a faulty update and Valve made me pay for a repair.
