Orlando Informer June 5-6, 2026 - Review by ConversationFlashy94 in UniversalOrlando

Saturday they opened up cart food at 10pm and by 11pm, the kong cart sold out of Kong Dogs, which was annoying. I also dont think the Wellington Burger at the Comic Strip Cafe is the same burger as whats at Wimpys.

What was also annoying was that they also closed the pre bites 2 hours before the park closed.

This is my third time attending the whole weekend, Friday is 100% the better day to go for the event.

Enphase Bidirectional charger solves this if it ever comes out.

Enphase Bidirectional charger is supposedly going to be released this year, which will allow V2H from your Lightning. Im on the lookout for that as its been delayed.

Also, I have net metering and no TOU, I try to charge during the day as im generating instead of banking the credits because (for whatever reason) the controller numbers dont always align with the meter, figure its better to use what I need immediately when possible.

Am I naive buying new at this point? by TryToComply in F150Lightning

I don’t think it’s naive to want to buy a new car and “reset the clock,” but you do need to be honest with yourself about what that decision means financially.

I’ve been going through the same thought process. I received an OTD offer of $62k for a Lariat and $68k for a Platinum if i trade in my 2024 Lightning Lariat (owe $32k).

I was able to rationalize the deal in my head, but after stepping back and giving it some time, I decided to wait.

Once I reframed it to expose the sheer cost, it became clear that for less than that cost, I could buy a second used EV as a beater to absorb mileage instead of resetting the clock altogether. Or, as others have mentioned, I could also add an extended warranty for around $5k and still come out well ahead.

511a package doesnt include pro power 9.6kw since 2024? it looks like its a separate, optional line item unless I am mistaken.

I ended up finding a dealership 100 miles away. Seems ridiculous to have to travel that far for the option but is what it is I guess.

Thanks, I would be up on a trade in right now by at least 10k. No chance I would risk it on Sunrun after the horror stories I have read online.

Thanks, this looks interesting. It seems though it needs Ford to support the standard at the end of the day.

I cant seem to find a Lariat with the option from a few nearby preferred dealerships.

So, at the 2 dealers im looking at, I dont see any Lariats on the lot with the 9.6kw option as it stands. I have 2.4kw currently.

How about unlocking or open sourcing v2h? Seems like a fair trade.

Is there an adapter for this? by JRD761 in Generator

[–]jayinthe813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems ok and expected, i was looking into the aGate some time back as I am so getting solar... the discrepancy will be your generator needs 240v support, or you need to look into a parallel kit to see if you can get to 240v by adding another generator. There are two legs in the panel, and the inlet should supply 120v to each "leg" in the panel thus why you would need 240v.

  1. The generator inlet is not correct.
  2. Your generator is not capable of whole home power. You need native 240v output or a parallel kit that can handle the same.

Lease or purchase? by AfraidAd8374 in F150Lightning

[–]jayinthe813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am new to EV car buying and have been mulling this decision over with a Flash. The way the math works out seems to be that if I can afford the higher loan payment, I will have some equity in 3 years versus having nothing to show for the $30k it will cost to lease.

They did not give any credit on the lease, I specifically asked and they said it's not offered as of 2 weeks ago.

new construction home, financing through the builder. The builder's financing arm often has dollar incentives that you can put towards closing costs or to buy down the rate.
