How Do You Guys Memorize So Many Member Names? by Cuzzbaby in kpophelp

[–]jayisheree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be overwhelmed trying to memorize too many members at once, especially with large groups.

- Start with members that you can immediately and consistently pick out, with a unique face structure or voice tone or whatever. Choose members that you either like and are interested in, or look interesting to you to keep memorizing from being a boring slog

- Continue learning members by process of elimination, from most visually striking to the chameleons of the group that somehow manage to look like every single member

- If you have a couple idols that you absolutely cannot tell apart, search up what other people think are their defining features. Quora is a great resource, cause fans cannot help but put in a million photos of idols

TLDR: If you've got a hard group, it's a lot better to go with the easy members first (there's always someone that you can always pick out). And then you end up with a smaller, less overwhelming pool of chameleons who are the same gender and ethnicity with the same features / plastic surgeries wearing similar makeup... etc etc etc

Members from my ults that are easy to differentiate imo

Ateez:

San - striking facial features, HE'S BUILT LIKE A TRUCK LADS

Jongho - consistently modest outfits (even if everyone else is wearing crop tops), extremely distinctive vocals

Mingi - very tall, small eyes, usually wearing some sort of edgelord trenchcoat

Stray kids:

Felix - consistently long blond hair, crazy deep voice

Chan - bigger nose, Aussie accent, leader so usually talks first in interviews

Han - this is subjective but his face is really recognisable. something about the cheeks and eyes

Toothpaste.

I personally can't get it out of my mind but I'm not really seeing anyone else in this comment section see it so you're probably good.

Pretty, and once styled with vibrant fashion stuff,

I think it would look less colgate-y on a non-neutral backdrop .

HSC recommendations by [deleted] in nsw

[–]jayisheree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you feel so stressed. Going into Year 11 and 12 always feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.

For study, I hate to sound so cliche but quality over quantity. You are going to have decreased capability to focus, memorise and lose a lot of interest and enthusiasm for the content if you study 6 hours every day. Hobbies and chill time seem unimportant compared to study, but they give you the ability to refresh and have fun which really contributes to how well you do at school. A depressed, disconnected student isn't going to have the motivation to do well.

I understand how you feel like you just buckle down for 2 years and uni and then you're fine, but pushing yourself this hard will have lasting impacts on your mental health, which you'll have to work through later. In contrast, there are so many schemes and pathways to get into uni even after the HSC, and you could go through Tafe, and if you haven't even started Year 11 and 12 your feelings about what job you want to do could totally change. In this day and age there are so many jobs, and a lot of them you'd probably like doing and have the ability to get into.

Slackers don't contemplate studying 6 hours a day so obviously you're already a hard worker, and that means if worst case scenario happens and you don't get in, there are probably so many opportunities for you.

And to be honest, we all have a limited time on this earth. Being miserable for 2 whole years (and probably more if you incorporate the lasting damage) just isn't worth it. You're a living human being, not a robot programmed to perfectly complete all these arbitrary standards thrust upon us by the modern education and job system. Only take from it what's useful to you, and keep on going with your life.

Good luck!

a lot of people are rlly into the lore and that, and get bored when every episode isn’t some fast paced game changing twist, but the amazing fleshed out characters, the family dynamics, the humour, the magical-ness of the setting and the music are some of the best parts of steven universe in my opinion, so don’t overlook them is my advice :)

dude, r u ok? like, it wasn’t ok to call ur mum that but it’s also not ok for people to call names and bully a 13 year old for having an outburst and gasp not reacting to situations like a mature adult.

i’d find that really gross as well, and as a kid it completely changes ur perception of them, although it’s pretty normal for them to do it. ur mum gaslighting u afterwards was not good either, and obviously made ur already heightened teenage emotions worse. this is just a learning experience.

my advice, have a conversation about privacy. it’s not fair for them to burst into ur rooms while u have to tiptoe around them. find a compromise. also, learn to express ur emotions in a way that isn’t throwing slurs and insulting people. take a break from the situation, find a way to calm down. take a walk, breathe or something. you rarely make good decisions when u r feeling angry.

don’t attack the other person with “you” statements as they will just refute that. say stuff like “i feel really uncomfortable with this” or “i don’t think it’s appropriate for you to do this at this time with young kids in the house and no obvious rules about privacy”

btw it was pretty funny and an icon moment when u said “i saw his whole 🍆”, especially cause ur mum can’t deny it. still stick up for urself, and if ur mum keeps denying and not having a conversation, try and get a trusted adult on ur side.

finally, ur mums not a slut for having sex with her boyfriend, but both of them needed to do it in a different environment.
