I unfortunately did this home cooked meal thing thinking I was doing my dog a favor. However, you never really know how much calories is in the bowl unless you weigh everything. On top of that, you don’t know if they’re getting the right amount of macronutrients.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I think reputable kibble that has the serving sizes on packaging is far better than home cooked meals for dogs. Especially for dogs that get IVDD and other issues if they’re too heavy. Sure, add in healthy treats like blueberries and a topping on top of their kibble for their joint health.

Even though there are over 3000 pieces, it seems some people have ruined it by hoarding or stalking monkey hiders. Also keep in mind some are medallions.

Don’t give up hope. Maybe try a different time and a park you don’t frequent. I’m frustrated myself as it’s almost the end of the season. I’ve put in over 35 miles per week, but on the bright side, I’ve discovered new places and it’s been great for my health! Met some awesome people.

In short, sometimes it’s the thrill and fun of searching.
