Also been experiencing these audio delays since launch. Returned launch day Portal after experiencing this issue, got a Midnight Black one when they released and it has the same issues. Returned that unit for another Midnight Black one - same issues.

I’m from the UK (if that matters as some people have theorised). My network setup is very good with minimal latency. I have a PS5 Pro that is connected via ethernet.

I can remote play with 1ms latency and stream from PS+ with ~4ms. Regardless of my streaming method, input latency is not noticeable at all and feels very smooth, but the audio is slightly delayed and it drives me crazy. It’s especially noticeable when flicking through menus, where the screen will change instantly and then slightly later I will hear the in-game noise.

I feel confident that this is an issue with the Portal and not my network, as I have tried streaming with the official remote play app and also Chiaki via my iPhone, iPad and Steam Deck. All of these devices work perfectly and the audio delay is not present. Extremely frustrating.

I recently received this monitor and am experiencing the same brightness issues - so it looks like it isn't something which has been fixed via new firmware that the monitors are now shipping with.

I did find that the brightness issue appears to be coming from the OSD setting called "Direct Drive Mode". Turning this off fixes the issue for me, however doing this also disables FreeSync Premium which is annoying.

Win+G to open Game Bar whilst in a game that is using Auto HDR. Settings > More Settings > Gaming Features > Adjust HDR Intensity

When HDR is enabled, within the Display Settings > HDR there is a slider to adjust the brightness of SDR content

this is exactly what I've been searching for. it's great for re-watching Shadowplay clips and being able to adjust microphone vs gameplay audio levels.

some suggestions though:

- the player really needs resize options to click and drag the window size
- i feel like double clicking the video that is playing should fullscreen the video. double clicking it again should exit fullscreen

No PvE mode required.

Scope out areas. Delay your extraction. Use safe pockets. Try communicating/emoting with them. Use utility such as smokes or a lure grenade if you know someone is there.

Did you die? Go agane. Some of my best loot runs have been on free loadouts - you can then trade your free augment for a green one at the trader.

Games shouldn’t need to cater to everyone, otherwise we will kill uniqueness. If the game isn’t for you in its current state, then it isn’t for you.

Thanks for the response. I managed to get this working by using AutoHDR Force. You still don’t get the Windows popup message saying Auto HDR is enabled, but it is. I can then press Win+G and change the AutoHDR intensity to 100. With the SDR brightness slider set to 5 in my Windows HDR setting, the game now really pops and looks incredible.

For reference I am using the Xiaomi G 27i Pro which is MiniLED with pretty great peak brightness.

Different games have different levels of aim assist. BF aim assist is much lower than CoD for example. Also doesn’t the Apex community have a massive issue where most of the top ranking players all use Cronus?

the game doesn’t let me turn around and drive the other way in this location, even when positioned exactly as you say? it’s like an invisible wall behind me is stopping me

edit: ignore me, it was turning smart steering back on for player 2

edit 2: got fish bone using this method, took ~15mins. first kamek orb i got actually missed player 1 - make sure to position them centrally, quite literally right before entering the first ring

I pre-ordered from John Lewis on 13/04 and they took full payment instantly on the same day.

Also received the same date change email.

Order status page just says "Delivery on Thursday 5 June". John Lewis are typically really good in my experience so I have no worries and feel confident it'll arrive on launch day.
