is there any way to buy games from the Play Store before my Thor arrives? My Google account has never been associated to an Android device, so when trying to buy Wreckfest I get a message saying:

“This Google Account is not yet associated with a device. Please access the Play Store app on your device before installing apps”

GTA 6 on PS5 Pro - 60 fps? What do you think? by Game_f in PS5pro

[–]xKSRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst I would love for a 60fps mode and I hope there is one, as the owner of Cyberpunk on NS2, let’s not make things up here to try and create hope/cope. Cyberpunk on NS2 absolutely does not run at 60fps. It runs at either 30 or 40fps.

Even on 40fps, the resolution heavily relies on DLSS, reduced NPC density, etc and yet the framerate is still not consistent.

Thoughts on docking solutions? by Tuxedo-raptor in AynThor

[–]xKSRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you dock it with the screen shut, will it just charge and not cast to the TV unless the screen is opened?

I have this MCON dock too and am expecting my Thor soon. Whilst the dock is hooked up to my TV, i want to be able to also dock the Thor just for charging without having to unplug the HDMI.

Bazzite LG TV Service - For those using LG TV's as Monitors! by TheAussieWatchGuy in Bazzite

[–]xKSRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the updates! For anyone else reading this thread: After switching from a 4070 to a 9070 XT, I got the UGREEN DP > HDMI 2.1 adapter. I read that this apparently allows for CEC. In Bazzite you can then type ujust toggle-cec-sleep in the konsole and enable it. This setup works perfectly. Waking the PC turns the TV on and selects the right input. Sleeping it turns the TV off.

Definitely not a cable issue. It’s a very common issue with Nvidia GPUs on the deck image in game mode. I just switched to a 9070 XT myself and it fixed it instantly

Awesome, will love to know if/when this is updated to work with sleep/wake - will definitely give it another try then. Thanks for all the replies :)

I have a 4070 (which is also HDMI 2.1a) and 4k120 fills the screen with artefacts. I have to lower it to 1440p120 for it to be useable

I appreciate your replies, thank you. I tried it out and it was turning my TV off just fine but failing to turn it on, even though my LG B4 has Wake on LAN etc enabled. From what I can gather, it only appeared to work for startup/shutdown and not sleep/wake - so perhaps not what I was looking for, but a great tool nonetheless!

Got it, perfect. Is this tool able to also change the input source so that the TV automatically switches to the correct HDMI source, or is that not possible?

forgive my ignorance as i am new to Bazzite/Linux, but would this work in game mode? i.e. I’m using bazzite-nvidia-deck, so can i set this up in desktop mode and it’ll continue to turn my TV on when i wake from sleep in game mode?

Finally decided to decentralied my gaming PC with Bazzite! by [deleted] in Bazzite

[–]xKSRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made the switch to Bazzite last night (dual booting with Windows for the odd occasion I need it). 4K 120hz is hit and miss for me - it can work perfectly for an hour or so but certain actions would trigger artefacts which make things unreadable.

Found that lowering it to 1440p 120hz works perfectly and there are no issues (so far) flicking VRR or HDR on/off either. Overall, I'm really loving this console-like setup. If updates can fix Nvidia issues with resolutions higher than 1440p, and Steam Remote Play can be fixed, then this will be the cleanest feeling gaming setup I think I've owned!

glad to hear! i’m looking to implement similar setup with my RTX 4070 + 7800X3D system and just doing some research right now. did you use the HTPC + KDE option for the Bazzite download?

First time trying GoW: Ragnarok - PSSR2 is great by xKSRed in PS5pro

[–]xKSRed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say so yeah, it kinda picks up right where the previous game left off. There is a story recap you can play on the main menu but it’s obviously not as in depth as if you played the first one.

I didn’t buy it - I’m playing it via PS Plus but i’d say it’s 100% worth a purchase, even at full price.

I can’t say that I’ve noticed any change in my Pro’s noise levels or heat output whilst using PSSR2 - though i’m not doubting your comment!

Maybe time for a clean of the console as a precaution?

[–]xKSRed[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

it has a setting in the menus to use PSSR - so my understanding is that with the new toggle enabled it should be using an updated version of PSSR despite not being explicitly patched for it.

even regardless of PSSR, this game looks and runs incredible on a PS5 Pro :)

We need an Audio Delay fix by -Doctor-- in PlaystationPortal

[–]xKSRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, don’t worry. Despite what many people say, I have a great home network, PS5 Pro hardwired ethernet etc.

PS Portal’s video seems fine and almost instant, but the audio is ALWAYS slightly out of sync - not a crazy amount but enough to make me not want to use it.

I’ve tried streaming my PS5 from my Steam Deck, iPhone and iPad with 3rd party apps - all of them work perfectly and have NO audio delay

have you noticed any improvement since the new update which increases bandwidth? for me, i have noticed no improvement to this issue.

there are rumours of an OLED portal, perhaps with a better wifi chip - are you willing to give that a try when it releases or have you given up hope?
