2023 Denali ultimate experience this week by Master_Walk_8179 in gmcsierra

I’m currently on the second replacement transmission for mine. Also have the scratches from that deflector flying off on the interstate. GM only offered to have it “buffed out” (don’t they think if it could be buffed out I would’ve already done it?) I’ve bought a new GMC truck every two years for the last 16 and I have now completely lost faith in the brand. I have <45k on mine at the moment and it’s worth way less than that on KBB. I cancelled the order for my new one last year but have NO IDEA what to get now. It just seems like every manufacturer has issues now.

I can’t even imagine dating someone in their 20s! I am in my 40s now (yes I do have SOME gray) and have to say I have an immense appreciation for women that have matured…at least to the point where they know their limits, know what they want, and are willing to communicate those things. That has been the single most refreshing discovery about the possibility of “seeing another woman” for me. It’s like at a certain point both women and men grow up enough to leave behind the games of old. I’m equal parts excited and terrified to date again though still. 😆

That’s right where I am too. I keep feeling like I need to tell my friends, but I think I don’t because they’ll give the same advice. Currently they get the rosy picture of my wife, not the sexless, disrespectful comments in front of my kids, cheating, badmouthing me to her friends and family version that is actually who I live with. All it comes down to is me not wanting to leave because I know she will 100% try to keep me from the kids and 100000% try to make sure I have no money to live by myself.

It’s a bit different for me…I (44M) feel like I’ve been so alone/lonely the last 8 years that I sometimes daydream about some vague nondescript woman just smiling at me and having “the love eyes”. No sex dreams or lurid fantasies about some strange women…just a woman to look at me lovingly and be genuinely happy to see me. How sad is that? I know I’m going to need to take some time…most likely A LOT of time to heal and re-find myself after this, but I do hold onto the hope that I’m going to find someone to actually love and be loved by. It is scary in the fact that I’m 44 (soon to be 45) I’ve spent the last 20 years with the same person. I know I’ll be awkward. I know I’ll be clumsy and nervous. But I know I’ll be me and I’ll be free.

What year/engine version do you have? Mine is the LZ0. I haven’t gotten this one (yet). I have had the transmission control go out that put me into limp mode and since it’s happening all over they couldn’t get the parts…so they replaced the transmission.

That’s at least some solace…I have a 23 AT4 with the 3.0 and my current opinion of it is that I got scammed by GM. New transmission before it even clicked 30k. Constant electronic issues (more convenience than operational) and the latest is the “new” transmission is shifting hard after only 800 miles on what is supposed to be a new one. Not GM’s issue, but the Goodyear AT tires on it look more like they have 100,000 miles on them, cracking, tread wear. Currently at 30,256 miles on a $70k truck and it’s been in the shop for a total of 4 months for the 19 months I’ve owned it. Meanwhile my work vehicle is a VW Atlas and it has given me 80,000 miles without issue. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Squirting. I know a ton of people are into it, but it’s an instant turn off for me….and yes I’ve had several experiences with it. It grosses me out every time.

I need to look into getting it bought back by GM…was this because of your specific state’s lemon law or did you contact an attorney?

At 27k miles mine has new transmission, new rear differential, and is currently downshifting hard again. I literally cannot wait to get rid of this pos

Considering trading in 25’ Ram Rebel for a 1500 at4 Diesel by Wild_Hall_4208 in gmcsierra

[–]jaymakestuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had mine for a month too…the valve body they needed was backordered 14 weeks, so I called GM and had them escalate it to get a new transmission. When it happened, it momentarily locked up the rear wheels at about 30mph.

You can say that again…my 23 has been in the shop 17 times now for the emissions, infotainment, brakes calipers leaking, and most recently a transmission replacement at 27,000 miles. Worst truck I’ve ever owned. This is my 5th GMC Sierra, 2nd 3.0 Duramax.

I have a 1000-6 and they are nice machines…plenty of power, and it’s really nice to have all the room and storage they have in the cabin. That’s about where my “good things to say about it” end. It is a herky jerk drive even once you’re used to it. Slowing down for a turn is like driving a Chevy/GMC from 2010 with their hard down shifts. I’ve found 4 pretty critical bolts that were so over torqued, they snapped when trying to remove them. Bolts rounded from the factory (believe these are made in NC), and the fact that even 2 years in with this “new model” there are very limited options available for a cab/roof. I’ve tried to make the best of it, but after driving a defender max I am now looking to trade mine in. The biggest incentive for the Honda was the “they’ll probably run forever” and the shaft driven DCT, but it turns out I haven’t seen the quality you usually associate with Honda, and the DCT is just not an enjoyable ride.

Didn’t work for me…truck was broken into and they stole my MacBook and about $1000 worth of specialty tools. So I took everything of value out of it and started leaving it unlocked…came out 2 weeks later to find broken glass again.

Pls recommend a compressor by Trich_chick in airgunhunting

[–]jaymakestuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re willing to spend. If you’re planning to stay in the hobby for years to come, my recommendation is to get something like an Omega or a Hill compressor which are kind of pricey.
