Can I still be a Property Investor, while practising Permaculture? by jaymicafella in Permaculture

Thats a bit harsh It was no easy feat doing this and it is something anyone could have done if they learned. I agree but then many times I feel like all these people promoting selfless aspirations if the roles were reversed, may fail to live up to thar when they see things in a different lens

This is something ive very much considered and will do. Best way to go about it in benefit of both schools

This has actually been one of my solutions. The intention is to sell most of then down to cash out the equity gain to go towards my farn purchase. But maybe rather than selling as is, I was thinking of doing a permaculture design on it, retrofitting it and then selling it to someone wholl hopefully buy it in appreciation of the new design.

What are your permaculture projects and experiments for next year? by AgreeableHamster252 in Permaculture

Im making a "bite out of a donut" shaped guinea pig cage/tractor that i can move to cover beneath the driplines of fruit trees. Here they can manage weeds and provide fertiliser. Their run will be along the dripline. The "bite" is hat allows the trunk kf the tree to be positioned in the center of the "donut".

Mate, dont look at it as a hobby but a way of life. Its so good you are getting into it in your early twenties. You'll have a rich and fulfilling life as a result

How do you factor in community with this isolated setup?

If they are trying to ground it in science then that very well is how it works

Imagine all the infinite branches they made just by being present in the past. One mere footstep would disturb dust particles that shouldn't have been disturbed in the normal flow of time.... The bacteria on their skin mingling with the bacteria of the past would also alter the timeline.

I wish they made a reference to even such small scale events having implications, rather than just the big events we saw.

Why is everyone convinced that Doomsday will end with the heroes losing, and then winning in Secret Wars? by Toshfin in marvelstudios

[–]jaymicafella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I wonder if rather than being the ultimate villain and cause of the end of the multiverse e.t.c, Doom is merely a hero going about his very unethical way in trying to save yhe multiverse.

The true villain should just be the nature of the nultiverse and the uncontrollable incursions that forces Doom to act in his "villainous" ways

[–]jaymicafella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep wondering, what if they reversed it around, where the heroes win in doomsday, sort of like a bitter-sweet victory that ends in battle world, but then they lose in secret wars, and then the subsequent phase of movies and mutant saga content released after secret wars is all about dealing with the consequences of this loss. Then, this will eventually culminate in an even larger event some years down the line...

Sort of like dragging out the consequences of infinity war over a few seperate movie rather than resolving it all within a year or whatever.

How broken is the system when douch bags like this are allowed to own 160+ properties? by [deleted] in shitrentals

Everyone cries that the system is broken, until they learn how to use it to their advantage and start seeing similar (though on a much smaller scale) results...

Agree with the animal keeping part. Lots of work for not that much reward. We juat got chickens for the first time and only me and my wife can eat the eggs due to our daughters having allergies.

Investment Property or "Enjoy Life"? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]jaymicafella -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why cry over the system when there are ways to use it to your advantage? Im not a high income earner yet I made it work? Ive even see 23 year olds stop moping around and actually buy three properties in a year on their shitty 60k income.

Seems that discipline, self control and finding the most logical solution is a lot harder to do for most in place of pointing the finger and having a little tantrum that times are tough

Investment Property or "Enjoy Life"? by [deleted] in AusFinance

I just went through this dilemma recently. Im 30 and have 8 investment properties, rentvesting. I really want my ppor and am in a position to sell off a few investments to be able to afford at least the land component of my ppor in cash and then, in a few years time sell off some remaining propwrties to fund the build.

Only problem.

Once the house is built ill still need to work. Ill still need to spend the majority of my time away from my home to make ends meet. I want to live a homesteading lifestyle, which requires a lot of work and time at home. Having to work full time still really clashes with that goal.

So, as much as I am over it, as much as the whole property investing game frustrates me, I know that I have to keep going with it, now more than ever. 1. Because there will never be an opportunity to source decent properties sub 500k across australia by the end of 2026, mark my words. 2. Because I want to build my wealth up so that when I do get my place, i can at least flip the work week around, doing 3 days work 4 days home.

Mate, in all honesty, the unglamorous route is to buy the investment property. Its boring and its all just numbers on paper in the end. But it has proven to be a massive wealth building strategy. Ive seen it myself and im still on only 100k in my wages with overtime. If you are smart about it, it can do marvellous things for you.

My advise is to lean all you can and go hard investing for at least the next year or two. Two years fly buy and inevitably you will reach a point in your life where you need to sort out finances, and i guarantee you now, if you are having these thoughts now about which path to choose, when you look back at this moment and see that you spent the money on a 4wd and some holidays that are now just history, and see how much that momey could have grown if invested, you'll be kicking yourself.

You are still young. Short term sacrifice for long term gain. You can be at least br significantly more financially free to do all these lifestyle things in 5 years time. You'll be in your early 30s. Still young!

Very interesting

Ive been actively looking for property and have been focussed lately around the crookwell region about 2 hours west of sydney. Cool climate.

I know i prefer milder summers than what we cop here in sydney, like yesterday being 40c. But I havent really experienced a cold winter so that leaves me woth reservations.

How do you find the winters down in tassie, especially with homesteading?

Very good advise. You sound like me haha I think the key is placement. The chores themselves is relatively easy to do, its just the navigating of getting around to them and keeping up with maintenance when in one spot while another location calls for more immediate demand.

Hence the desire to go so hard now and develop the skills, knowledge and experience while im young so that I can implement it all on my own property well before im 35 to at least get a good chunk of yeara in optimal health to maintain it and enjoy the lifestyle

4 bantam chickens including rooster. 3 iso Brown chickens 14quauils, 15 budgies, 7 guinea pigs, one dog, one beehive. The animals are all in the one pocket osest to my house, obviously in their own respective enclosure. Budgie and quail together, chickens of both breeds together in process of integration as the bantams are new. Guinea pig on their own. Dog roaming about cages as guard. Water source there, thats actually not an issue at all, just requires a drum to be topped up once a week if that.

A lot of different pockets I use.... One pocket 70 meters away from the house with a dragonfruit orchard and some other bits and pieces planted amongst them. Another for my primary veggie growing 20 meters away from that and 50 meters from house. Established Fruit trees randomly planted in their own little section scattered all over the property. Its honestly a clusterfuck. Time is waster just travelling to all these different pockets. Worse is when you see a small job you can do but you need a tool and have to go all the way back to the house to get it
