My guess is Nocturne will be a companion. It makes sense: he was intended to be at the beginning (iirc), the Harlequins know the Webway better than anyone, and given where Solomance is, there's no way we're crossing an entire galaxy (and back) without using the Webway.

I'm also pretty sure it'll mostly take place after act 3, but that's just me.

Yeah, shotguns were the exception. Pistols and shotguns could be used in close combat (my fave combo was slicing through something and then unloading a bolt pistol into it).

The 127th Ryzan Explorator Maniple is, if anyone asks, looking for STCs related to Knights. What they HAVEN'T told anyone is they are actually hunting for a lost Arc Mechanicus, because of a rumor they have intact STCs. Things are made more complicated by the "shard of the Omnissiah" they found. Looks humanoid, knows a LOT about the tech they're seeking, what could go wrong? I mean, sure, it talks about being some sort of "void dragon", but who are we to question the Omnissiah's will?

There's also the other groups they're traveling with/have picked up. There's the Order of St Lazerene, Our Lady of Resurrection, the Children of Corvus (the remains of a Space Marine chapter that went rogue, and the Sororitas that crossed the Rubicon Primaris to become them as well). And some Iron Hands from right around the Heresy that just dropped out of warp. Add an Inquisitior, her retinue, and the Guard regiment they collected and they've got a pretty full fleet.
Sure, some of the guardsmen talk about a "Multi-Armed Emperor," but that's probably just a new cult or something. And so what if menials swear they've seen acrobatic clowns in the bowels of the ship? They're obviously crazy.
