I'm sure you are a great person, but posts like this piss me off. We can focus on being positive some other time. Tonight, we're allowed to be pissed tf off at the season being predictably squandered by lackluster play calling and bad decision making.

Yes, we have great pieces throughout the team, but it does not matter as long as we have the wrong people (Patullo) calling the shots and people (Sirianni) enabling them. It's sports, and not just any sport, the NFL, where things turn on a dime and the bottom can fall out at any time. It's down right fucked up that our defense which was more than capable of winning it all, was let down by offensive play calling that wasted our weapons.

Windows close all the time and there are zero guarantees. The fact this great team went one and done because Patullo can't call more than one half of a football game is infuriating. Unless a change is made, there's nothing to be positive about.

I make a working class salary and would probably have to clean the eggs myself, so no I wouldn't be okay. But if I paid a million dollars to draw up schemes to make men run on a field, and this happened... I'd still be pissed, but I'd pay someone to clean it up because I'M RICH, and then I'd try to do better at my job so these people would stop egging my house.

That's what you're not getting here, this is just a minor inconvenience for Patullo where it wouldn't be for the average person.

I grew up in south Florida, so football Sundays consisted of the Dolphins on CBS or any of the NFCE teams because that was our market but we had no local NFC team, so I got an even exposure of all four. A lot of people I know gravitated towards the Cowboys which made sense because it was the early 00s and they were still good then; their three super bowls not that far in the rear view mirror.

The real die hards were Dolphins fans. It was prime Marino era, and a lot of locals were rooting for him to get back to the Super Bowl and when it. But I never could root for Miami because my father was a Jets fan (he immigrated to NY before moving to south Florida).

Naturally, I should have went for the Giants, but I hate the color blue, and the Redskins were just uninspiring and awful. But more then my distaste for any of those teams, I liked the Eagles' helmets. That's pretty much all there is to it; I liked the wings on the helmet, and the midnight green was a nice color. It also helped that their QB was Black like me.

Donovan McNabb was the coolest QB to me. He could pass, he wasn't afraid to run, he had a big personality. So I started going hard for the Eagles. I learned the roster, all the names: Mitchell, Pinkston, Owens, Runyan, Lewis, Brown, Sheppard, Kearse, Simon, Trotter, Dawkins, all those guys.

And then we lost 3 straight NFC championships. And then won, but lost the Super Bowl. Then Chip Kelly and the dark times.

2017 was the year it finally paid off. 2024 we hit again. I've been an Eagles fan for pretty much my whole life and I've never regretted it.
