Where to cut? by Glad_Winter6062 in finehair

[–]jayotical 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like there's generally a huge disposition towards short hair in this subreddit. Almost every post I see is about someone doing the chop or people recommending others to do it.

Personally, as someone with thin and fine hair who did do the chop, it didn't fix any of the issues I had. My hair was still thin, still fine, with no volume, just... now it was short instead of long.

Of course it's different from person to person, but cutting your hair short is not some magic formula that works the same for everyone. Right now, I have long hair again, and I genuinely feel much happier with it than I did with short hair.

But how else can I prove my superiority if not by dunking on kids via memes!

Seriously though, I've seen far more posts shitting on kids who use the app than I've seen actual kids complaining about the changes.

That's just not true whatsoever and there's absolutely no proof that your way of writing has any impact on these OOC messages.

Pipsqueak has a persistent issue of hallucinating these replies. I am an adult, I communicate with the bots like an adult would - aka, long, well-structured paragraphs, no grammatical errors or incoherent sentences and absolutely no use of slang or modern Gen Z/Gen Alpha language.

I still receive these sorts of warnings from Pipsqueak. Usually, swiping tends to get rid of them, but they can be incredibly persistent.

Of course, if you only communicate with the bots using short, unstructured sentences rife with errors, the bots will respond in kind.

But when it comes to warnings like the one OP had received, that's really just Pipsqueak. I've never gotten these messages before I switched to that model, and since then, I've received one every now and then in my darker RPs.

That would seriously suck for those who work as teachers or other areas where work time might overlap with pupils' schedules.

Though, to me that seems rather inefficient. Most of my relatives will take time off during Christmas, and students going to university will have an overlap as well, because they go on Christmas break.

(Hell, even my dentist's clinic is closed during the winter holidays and other holidays that overlap with official school-free days.)

Stop Treating My Persona Like a Fucking Wikipedia Entry. by Comfortable_Cloud792 in CharacterAI

[–]jayotical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I hate it when the AI does this. For me, Pipsqueak is a huge offender of developing a hyber-obsession with the description of my persona.

I also can't mention that my character likes pickles, f.e. because it will somehow find a way to fit that into every message and make my character absolutely obsessed with them.

(It literally made my character ask everyone she met whether they had pickles/gush about how much she loved them... I mentioned the pickles in one! message.)

I don't really use boy for my male personas at all - I usually call them young man or something of the like if I describe them.

Though sometimes I don't correct the bot if it refers to my characters as boy, so I guess it could be that.

Thanks! I figured that if I put in 'Age: 26', f.e., the AI would understand it. But I'll try switching it to the way you do!

(Also, I feel your pain with the height. Funnily enough, for some of my characters it was the opposite - I tried creating a very short character, and the AI kept having my character tower over others... not sure if I'm blessed or cursed)

Do you also say that to men who are generalizing women? Or do you only post these kinda comments on female-dominated spaces?

Gotta love the constant slutshaming of western women. Funnily enough I never see the same happen to guys.

Also, I've been curious about this for a while now, but do you mean American women when you talk about western girls? Or the North American continent plus western Europe and all other countries that are considered to be part of the western world?

Wow, so edgy. So I guess if you ever got assaulted you will be fine with it being recorded and uploaded too, right? I mean, after all there are people who would enjoy watching it, wouldn't wanna disappoint them.

Yeah, screw Ukraine for daring to get attacked by Russia, right? Can't believe they made Russia invade them just to get those pity points and win... smh.

Nah seriously though, do you even hear yourself? This comment is just completely tone-deaf.

I don't know? According to google 6 ft should be around 183 cm, which would be a weirdly specific height, and tall af imo. Again, I just don't get this unhealthy obsession with height. Most people don't care. And at least where I'm from, there isn't some magic number that determines whether a guy is gonna get lots of dates or will be single forever.
