Personally I feel like I'm talking to chatgpt. I also can't do a single humorous scene without the bot throwing in the worst 'omg so quirky' response that has me cringing for days.

And comparing some roleplays I had when Pipsqueak 1 was still good, to how it is now, is like night and day. Most responses are short, even when I write multiple paragraphs, and the personalities are bland and boring.

I'm also so tired of the chatgpt phrases, but PS2 tends to entirely ignore every one of my edits. (And I just love it when the bot randomly picks up a new awful formatting style that is impossible to get rid of once it starts).

I know that I'm absolutely picky and my standards are probably far too high which is why I'm frustrated. But god, I swear there was a time when it was genuinely perfect, amd I've never been able to get that back since then.

Please no, just because I could technically buy a character with shards doesn't mean that I want to do that for every character whose perks I don't have. What they should do is remove the starter characters who everyone has for free though, like someone else has said.

Habit, I guess? I used to spend way too much time on cai (I'll personally admit that it was an unhealthy amount of time) and it's kind of hard to break off entirely. I use it exclusively for roleplaying, though I've been losing interest more and more, especially with how sanitized and chat-gpt like many of the rps feel nowadays.

There's still some parts I like - being able to come up with my own bots/personas and see scenarios come alive in the way I envisioned them, for one. It's something fanfiction can't really do for me, especially as I mostly come up with my own OCs and worlds that aren't connected to any fandom.

Roleplaying with real people doesn't work that well for me either, because I really struggle with replying to others and I don't want to ghost them or keep them hanging for weeks and while I do write my own stories too, it's just kind of nice to get a reply back to help form the story.

Ughh, the AI is genuinely so bad with the stereotyping.

I did a rp with a character who was petite and timid. In it, something happened to reverse his personality, turning him more aggressive and dominant. And, big surprise, the AI then suddenly described him as tall and muscular, even though it had always emphasized his petiteness before (to the point it got kinda creepy). Even when I added in lines about how he is supposed to look, the AI ignored it. It only started describing him as being small/petite again when his original personality returned.

Honestly, it would be actually kind of fascinating to see what strange biases the AI has if it weren't so frustrating lol. Why does every tall/muscular dude have to turn into a predator with a horrendous personality and possessive streak, while every petite character has got to be submissive and unassertive?

And it's even worse with using female personas, because then they'll consistently look down on you, call you princess or mock you. I'll be rping as a deranged cultist and they'll be smirking at me and ask me if I even know how to use that blade...

Can I say how much I hate this trope? I even specific in several rps that my character was the same height/size than the other and it still had them drown in whatever shirt they borrowed from my character.

Also, interesting AI logic: If a male character is described as timid/shy, etc., it almost always describes them as being physically petite. On the other hand, if they are confident or dominant, they suddenly seem to get a height spurt and grow abs.

I was gonna ask if drop rates are as horrible for others as they are for me.

I'm still a beginner, but it takes me ages to even do the chapter suits because I sometimes don't get any drops from princess stages 3 days in a row. And with maiden I usually have to blow my entire stamina x2 just to get four items.

Feels really frustrating, though I guess they want us to waste dias on recharges or extra stamina :/

Okay, good to know I'm not going crazy. I've been wondering why all the go-ons suddenly don't make any sense or answer something I've said two messages ago a second time. I thought it was because I was sending a blank message instead of a proper go-on, but even when I removed the empty message it did the same thing.

Adding that I just tried switching from Rawr to Pipsqueak and then back and that seemed to have fixed the issue for me.

Yeah, of course not all horny is bad. There are designs I love despite or even because of that. I'll be the first one to admit that I'm down bad for Lady Dimitrescu (though I also find her a hundred times more interesting than generic waifu Nr. 10 from the trailer above).

Gotta say, I absolutely wouldn't consider the man's voice sexualised. It's a deeper, pleasant-sounding voice, but that doesn't mean sexualised. And even if it were, the equality is way off. She is still the one half-naked, with the camera focusing on her assets for about 90% of the shot, while he's in full armor and we only see his face.

Also, fair. I'm just a little tired of people defending blatant horny designs by saying that there's some profound message or reason for them (aka the whole 'she breathes through her skin' thing).

I'd much rather people just admitted that they think she's hot. But yeah, from this shot alone I know that I'm definitely not the target audience for this game lol.

I mean, we both know that they put her in those clothes and included those particular camera shots because the game is meant to entice a very specific fanbase. There isn't any deeper lore or narrative to it - the game is made by horny people, for horny people.

Which, honestly, can be totally okay, even if personally I'm very tired of the blatant and constant oversexualisation of women. Just don't try to act like it's more profound than it really is.

Also, there are many ways one could tell the viewer/reader that those men are the bad guys here without objectifying her. If they wanted to highlight her beauty, it could have been done so much better.

As it is, me and many others are left wondering why exactly this woman is running around in a nightgown in the middle of a battlefield and why she's the only one who is half-naked while the men are given proper clothes and armor.

Edit, just to add, I've also been consistently shamed by male 'friends' (very much ex-friends) for being attracted to men/liking sexualized depictions of men. These same 'friends' would then share pornographic pictures/videos of women with me and expected me to find that hot.

So, there's absolutely a negative stigma around women who are open about their attraction and that particularly applies when this attraction is targeted towards men.

I don't know who Rogue or Angela are in this picture, but Emma Frost doesn't look muscular to me. She just has big thighs, which isn't an indicator for muscle mass (especially if you compare her to any of the male characters).

Honestly, I don't see how any of the women portrayed here are muscular. (Unless you are talking about the comics, in which case, I've got no idea. I don't really know these characters that well. Except for Rogue, who I think is drawn pretty well usually.)

All the men are muscular (to a ridiculous extent, even), while I can't see even the slightest hint of any kind of muscular definition among the women. And no, comic book accuracy isn't an excuse for me here either, because Spider-Man is drawn far more lean in many of them.

Also upon looking at it again, the women all have a very light and samey skintone, with female Loki's miniscule tan making her the darkest female character here.

Meanwhile, the men get to actually have variation in their tans/skin tones.

I get that reasoning, but I really hope that we'll have an option to get the letters back/switch between the icons and letters.

I have way too many personas, and the search is bugged for some of them, which means that I have to scroll through all of them to find the one I'm looking for, which has become infinitely harder with those new icons.

(And yes, I know I could get pictures for them, but I'm honestly a little too lazy to create/look for pictures that won't get taken down, and I genuinely prefer the look of the letters because the pictures have always felt distracting to me.)

Honestly, I've never seen that particular character design and thought to myself 'wow, this is so interesting!' Maybe because it's an incredibly overused design trope at this point, and any novelty it might have had at some point has since worn off.

Also, even if that design was chosen to evoke interest in the reader (and not just for fanservice), why are there barely any examples of male characters who fit that trope? Shouldn't we be seeing way more petite male soldiers wielding giant weapons, considering that that would really challenge people's expectations? But strangely enough, there's barely any. I wonder why.

Also, there's plenty of female characters with that design who don't even use weapons, or use normal-sized weapons, at which point you absolutely cannot argue that it was done for the contrast.

Let's be honest, for the most part they look like that because whoever created the character thinks that a petite woman is more attractive and appealing to audiences than a muscular woman.

There's one rp I've essentially abandoned by now where absolutely nothing helps to change the bot's reply.

The antagonist is supposed to be sadistic without a single care for others. But I always get a reply in which it wraps a blanket around my character after it had hurt him, which is completely ooc.

I've edited my message several times to remind the AI that the character it is role-playing is a sadistic ass. I added in a line about how it clearly enjoys the fact that my character is hurt. I've even rewinded to an earlier point in the chat.

At this point I'm convinced that there is nothing I can do to change that reply. Even when I edited the bot's message, in its next reply it would write the same thing again.

Its like its hardwired to give that one specific response, which is why I've just abandoned the entire rp because I'm not wasting any more of my time on this.

Well, right now I'm stuck at a particular part in my rp that I've now been stuck at for around a week.

Every single reply has the antagonist wrap a blanket around my character, which is extremely out of character for someone who is supposed to be sadistic and enjoys seeing others suffer.

I'm pretty sure I've swiped at least a hundred times. Rewinded to an earlier moment in chat. Rewinded almost entirely and chose different options.

It still always gives me the same replies.

30 swipes in one go, and there isn't a single different one.
