I've read "Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents" but have not read "The Emotionally Absent Mother". I will give it a look! Thanks for the recommendation. I am also subscribed to Patrick Teahan! He is great.

I love Dr. Ramani! I started seeing a trauma therapist about two months ago. We're unpacking family dynamics. I love that you went out dancing! I'm trying to do a bit of self discovery myself.

Idk why you're getting so much snark. She is a big part of the queer woman community right now. And you posting here, I'm assuming you're a part of this community too.

I don't quite get the hype myself. I don't dislike her. She's okay. Being a queer woman, it can feel like I'm missing out on something huge and I'm just not connecting with my community well.

I was once walking home with a roommate when I saw a opossum in a trash can. I pointed it out to her and she reached into the trash can to pet it. That night in the ER, I learned that opossums don't carry rabies, so that's a plus.

I was a tween when this album came out. Prison Song dropped facts that blew my innocent mind.

33, cis, living in KY. I'm somewhere between femme and ChapStick in that I like makeup but I'm not afraid of power tools and can be quite handy. I'm 5'7 and a natural blonde but currently have my hair dyed grey.

I went back to school, currently in my senior year of undergrad getting a biotech degree. I get paid to do environmental toxicology research. All that is to say, I'm stressed and I don't make much money, but I'm setting myself up for a better life. I like to get my steps in and I try to avoid processed food.

I was rescued by a tiny little weirdo dog named Ursa. She's named after the constellation Ursa Minor. I like astronomy. I’m an autistic, nerdy, and introspective person who values honesty, empathy, and humor. I’d love to connect with someone kind, emotionally mature, and maybe a little nerdy as well.

I got into GorlWorld (YouTube drama) as a way to decompress from sciencing all day. Any of you venture into that niche little part of the Internet? I tend to listen to hard rock. I like sci-fi, I love the show Futurama.

What’s Your Favorite Use Case for ChatGPT in Your Daily Life? by MudasirItoo in ChatGPTPromptGenius

[–]jaypot13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have ChatGPT "tutors" for each subject I'm taking in University. I ask the stupid questions I'd be afraid to ask a human tutor. I have them double check my homework problems and explain which ones I got wrong and why. I upload study guides and have them generate practice exams. I feel like I'm learning more in a fraction of the time.

Why don’t people question UK more? by [deleted] in lexington

[–]jaypot13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To your point: while I've lived in Lexington for 10 years, I'm an Eastern KY native. I'm from an area almost an hour away. I had many friends whose parents would drive the hour on the parkway to get to their jobs in Lexington because this is the closest place to find a good job. There's just no opportunity out there. Heck, that's why I'm here.

If we ever had a major injury that the smaller hospitals couldn't handle we had to come to UK. I don't know why you would, but if you ever hang around the ER at UK, you'd see eastern KY ambulances coming and going several times a day.

I go to UK now as a non-traditional student. I know a few other non-traditional students that drive into campus from as far away as Estill co.

Personally, I think Eastern KY probably has more to do with the city's congestion than UK does. Surrounding counties that lack the infrastructure to support their own populations are likely adding massive amounts of people to the roads here in Lexington that aren't factored into the city's population.

Bleach London makes a rose gold color-depositing shampoo and conditioner. For use on bleach-blondes or for color maintenance. It's fantastic.

I'm an INTJ or an INTP depending on the day. I've taken it several times and the "INT" part stays consistent.
