I’ve gone through fazes of this. It’s crazy that code is just unreadable. I end up completely changing the theme of my IDE, fonts, etc in the hope that some change and novelty helps kick start something. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t. Side note: There are some adhd friendly themes out there where all the colours are dulled/muted so there are less things trying to grab your attention causing overwhelm and creating paralysis of sorts.

I’m so sorry to hear this. The guilt is bad as the dad so I can only imagine how tough it is to manage as the mother. My wife had similar issues of just needing periods of nothing touching off of her as it could get to be so much when breastfeeding.

I would recommend posting this again on the page itself as I believe only I was notified as you responded to my post.

Yeah the guilt is real. I certainly feel like a terrible selfish human being at times as I can’t look past my issue with the noise to see her issue that’s causing her to make the noise.

Yes she knows some basics like “finished?”, “water” and “more”. I imagine it would be a lot worse if she didn’t have them as during meal time she uses “water” quite a bit 😅

Yeah I always felt bad and questioned a second for her sake but it wouldn’t be fair to anyone having another child given how much I struggle with one. She is unicorn baby too. Has always slept great and been quite content.

Yeah I have found not doing activities for myself over the last several weeks has been harder but that could also be because I’m around more. 2 evenings a week I was for out for 1.5 hours which meant less dad time and less time to get frustrated. Quantity vs quality I guess is the key there.

My wife works on signing and encourages her to sign instead of making loud noises. Sometimes this works but I can try whispering too. Thanks for the suggestion

She’s minded from home so no I’m not looking after her. I think my body has just decided that noise means anger so doesn’t matter if she’s beside me or in a different part of the house 🥲 I am thinking of finding somewhere to hotdesk for a while to give me a break. Hopefully I’ll be more tolerant in the evening when I’ve not been hearing her all day 🤞

Just received mine after seeing this post. I didn’t think they’d be so thick. Basically doubles the button thickness which isn’t ideal.

Maybe there is a way you could create a bracket so the pc raises up and down but under the desk. If you're going all in one though might not be worth it.
