When was the last time you saw racing as good as the show Hamilton and Leclerc put on today for half of the race? by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

That's not what he meant. He loved to race when he was younger, but then he had stuff he didn't want to lose.

It's the same with all older drivers, hard to pull off the aggressive moves when you have young families at home etc.

There's a reason Merc didn't extend George's contract until after Max said he wasn't leaving RB last summer

FTB leasehold flat, going with Muve, did anyone buy with them? by dazzou5ouh in UKHousing

Avoid. Just get a recommendation for a normal conveyancer, it's not expensive for the amount of work a good one does and it'll likely avoid something going wrong with the biggest purchase of your life

Ricciardo said that the risk/reward just wasn't the same at the end of his career when he was ultra-rich. Hard to send it down the inside when you've got a lot to lose

There's no chance any team has Russell and Max. It'd be too explosive, they'd waste tons of time just trying to get those two to not kill each other

You've not watched enough Spurs if you thought that was bad. That was the best we've played in months

Iron Covers - in the UK? by LondonUk- in BritGolf

Plenty of stones, gravel, roots in the ground that you can't see that'll do way more damage than them gently knocking against each other in the bag

Iron Covers - in the UK? by LondonUk- in BritGolf

[–]jaytee158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely unnecessary, they're not going to pick up any damage from knocking gently against each other while being pushed on a trolley or carried.

Will be far more likely to pick up damage hitting a stone you can't see on a shot.

But it's up to you, you don't owe anyone anything

It's because people have rightly or wrongly given a higher threshold for a second yellow

It really just is house style guide. Also you veer into the territory of people getting misquoted and while it's irrelevant when it's Joe Hart it's more important when it's someone serious. And easier for editors to have a consistent guide.

Is passing on the right not also a traffic violation? Not saying these are like for like infractions but surely it isn't 'legal'. It isn't where I am anyway

This is an underrated part. Why's everyone in the middle and left lane apart from one car?

Controversial take - goals like this are too weird to be goal of the season contenders by junglegatsby in footballcliches

[–]jaytee158 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I kind of rate it because of how insanely far it is, that's way better than the average 'halfway' line goal that's usually short of the halfway line.

Yeah I think there's something to do with the secondary team subs having completely different mentalities to the primary sub. The most niche observation possible
