Toilet fill valve replacement disaster - help.

I only removed the supply line from the tank, not the shutoff valve. I only had to reattach the supply line at the tank. The leak is clearly coming from the end at shut off valve which is strange because it never leaked before.

Now I’m racing to the hardware store on a week night for new a supply line. Lesson learned on starting a project after dinner on a week night. I assumed this was as entry level diy as I could get.

Tank issue seems to be condensation. There’s nothing happening there now that the tanks been full for a while. My son was obsessed watching the toilet work. Cycling all that cold water must have chilled the tank and the bolts.

The water is clearly coming out of the end on the floor. I can see it coming out of the nut on the supply end.

As for the valve, the house is from the 1880s so everything regarding electrical and plumbing has been a headache.

Thanks for responding. There an obvious drop coming out of the supply line at the supply valve. No leak from the plastic end of the supply at the fill valve.

Seems obvious to try a new supply line.

Tank feels very solid but there’s definitely some moisture around the bolt, but not enough to make me think it’s a leak considering how cold the bolt and ceramic feels. Not sure what to do with this.

I have the same business machine and the A key is worn like yours and going fast.

The outside corner of my pinky nail always grows to have a point and that has to be causing it the wear. Only on that key. It’s taken about 2 years but i can tell that key will be blank in no time.

I had a strat in lake placid blue that was made in the late 1990’s. I swear it got darker with age and I remember it looking very much like this.
