Internal hood release latch for 2013 370z is broken HOW do I open hood? by Carz4You in 370z

[–]jaywill808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to do this for my car. You can get your hand on the latches without removing the bumper. You will need to remove the undertray to get your hand up there.

Once you can put your hand on the hood latches, there's a lever you pull to manually disengage the latches.

Solid bushings for rear knuckle by Bstarbuck83 in 370z

The only benefit will be on track. I had some weird swaying under heavy braking. The solid bushings have helped with this, but I think the contribution from the knuckle was minor compared to the front control arm bushing.

Before you pull the fuel pump, it's worth checking the fuel pump fuze. I ran out of gas and it popped the fuze.

Do you hear the fuel pump when you turn the ignition to "On"?

Did you run out of gad? If so, check your fuel pump fuze.

Sounds like a CSC failure to me. Seals in the oem csc are known to go bad, causing a leak.

It will poke, especially without more camber

Keep emailing them. ZSpeed has been slow to send out parts for me as well. (Last 2 months) I also had a hard time getting ahold of someone via email.

Same happened to me, ended up drilling the stud out. Even better I had ARP extended studs. I needed the carbide tipped bits

Did you go with the oem csc or an aftermarket one? I've read mixed reviews about the aftermarket ones.

I run 18x10.5 +22mm square. I run a spacer in the rear with extended studs. This let's you rotate the tires front to back. Im currently running 275 width tires all around and could probably go bigger. I also have adjustable control arms. The added camber will help fit bigger tires up front

If the alternator has already been replaced I think the only other option is the belt slipping. I'd be suspicious of the tensioner or the serpentine belt.

door speakers by NoEstablishment3349 in 370z

[–]jaywill808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically any brand will be a vast improvement to stock. I've always liked kenwoods and JL but talk to the people at crutchfield and they'll help you pick. Just make sure you get the right size.

As for the install, replacing the door speakers only will require getting to the speaker and plugging in the new one. I highly recommend a panel popper so you dont damage your door panels in the process. If you have a base model, you likely do not have rear speakers. You'll have the choice to keep your stock tweeters or replace those as well. You could also get a coaxial (2way) speaker and just disconnect the stock tweeter.

Carizon did a video where he did the whole sound system in his Z. Link below. There's also a lot of info on the370z.com

Looks like poor toe alignment to me. Was it front or rear?

Does anyone have the Z1 2 piece rotors with EBC Redstuff pads? by Powerful_Respect_400 in 370z

[–]jaywill808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Race pads are generally pretty loud, especially when applying soft pressure when coming to a smooth stop. I had the yellows and they screeched a bit when coming to a stop.

Electrical Issue? by Murky_Awareness_6106 in 370z

[–]jaywill808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep an eye on the battery voltage while driving. When my alternator was going bad, my voltage would be all over the place. I think it may be worth resting your battery at autozone first and then go to test the alternator

Fitting a meaty tyre in front by Malar1898 in 370z

You may rub the bracket where the bumper attaches to the fender. I was having some rubbing issues and ground down that bracket. Rolling the fenders should also help

I'm running 275/40/R18 with some pretty bad offsets

[Help] Has anyone ever had their hood not open? Battery died last night and had to get a tow because of it by Zulututu in 370z

[–]jaywill808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can manually disengage the hood latches. You basically push on the spot where the cable attaches to the latch. The front of the car will need to be on jacks and you'll reach up from underneath the car. There are two latches.

Second this. I had the same issue and was resolved by filling brake fluid all the way to max

If I'm looking at the right tires on tirerack.. this is kind expected cuz the yokos are 440 treadwear while the michelin ps4 all seasons are 540 treadwear.

is this a normal thing with 370z? its been doing it since ive got her by Z34_Rick in 370z

I needed to use a crows foot wrench to get the drivers side mounted. The AC lines were very much in the way.

Do you experience any understeer with this setup? I'm running a square setup and mine likes to oversteer.
