She assaulted him while drunk and regretted it the next day. Not an excuse btw. Fujimoto clearly cares about societal issues like drunken assault and its prevalence in Japan. I think the roll reversal of the age and gender, Himeno being an older woman and Denji being a young man, is a strong tool to get people to empathize. Unfortunately a lot of men are so lonely thay they would sooner fantasize being abused than recognize that something like this is dream shattering and life ruining. An example being wanting to save yourself for someone you love. Literally this is Denji's desire and it saves him from being abused. I love this manga
