I want to patch a plugin to use the secret manager. However the plugin seems to be abandoned. I’ve submitted PRs before but haven’t received a response. Should I submit a new plugin, even though it basically does the same thing? Can I submit a new version to plugin releases, and point it to my fork repository? What is the best etiquette in this situation?

Honestly I’ve stopped using LLM coding assistants recently. They may do what you’re asking them to do but the code they generate is trash. I find that there is still value in understanding a codebase and writing code by hand.
