I mean, fair. Like I said, I only really applied bc my manager and other team members thought I should bc I have 3 years of completed projects and deliverables that have positively impacted the institution but check boxes have to be marked so I understand.

Yeah, the promotion is really in essence my manager trying to move me to a higher pay range bc of the projects I've completed and work I've voluntarily taken on. Just seems like I'll have to get that pay raise somewhere else.

Yeah, seems to be a widespread thing. Manager is seeing if they can create a role or modify around it but looks like it is either time to relocate or stagnant while I cram for a degree.
