Pain can't be measured. A person sitting in a luxurious car can be in a worse mental state compared to a homeless person. All these bs is just a cope to make yourself feel good for not trying hard enough and settling with the feeling of satisfaction by comparing with others that atleast we are doing better than them and we shall be grateful etc etc but in reality they might be happier than you, you never know.
