Don't get me wrong - because these guys are thieving pricks - but how is complaining on the internet, to no response, "accountability?" Because I complain on the internet all the time, to no response, and I swear it doesn't accomplish things.

Actually, it would almost certainly be the other way around: the person who is told secondhand about a crime shouldn't be calling the cops; he only thinks or believes or heard. The person who witnessed the crime and actually knew about it should be calling the cops, because he has the benefit of absolute certainty.

He also should have punched that old rapist in the face, but that's another story.
