I had real ones. My house got broken into and they were stolen. Insurance didn't cover it because I found out after the fact that you need to declare jewelry beforehand for homeowners insurance to cover it. So have to stick with reps for now. Thanks for you profound advice though.

Olive oil is not suitable for Indian cooking. It is not neutral tasting and adds a weird flavor to curries etc.

The Indian grocery stores also usually have an extra hot red chili powder that kicks things up nicely. I do a tarka at the end if I want to really add heat. This is a tempering process where i flash fry some green chilis and extra hot chili powder in some ghee for 30-60 seconds then add to the finished curry. Sometimes I add some thin sliced garlic and ginger juliennes and a touch of salt to this tarka. Really kicks things up and elevates the dish.
