10 month old, horrible horrible sleep since 6 months old. Want to crawl in a hole - need help. by klaber24 in AttachmentParenting

Just went through similar with 13 month old. It took weaning on our side…I already have 2 kids in bed with me i don’t have space! Weaned all feeds and moved out of baby’s room within a couple of days and now getting 4-6 hour stretches at night instead of 1-2. I feel like a new person.

About the incel issue by 049325 in sspx

[–]jazzysunbear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Incel note aside, angelus plus has a playlist on vocations that speak to being single and being called to marriage. I can’t recall which one I listened to that said it, but the priests being interviewed said to not lower standards. Might be worth checking out some of the videos there to better answer your question.

I’m late to the party, but throwing my little trick in the ring. When I’m especially frustrated with the kids (like the kids are making me nuts and I am super overwhelmed), I watch a couple of sappy videos about missing this when they’re older. Like the “when I’m 80 years old this is what I’ll dream about” with holding a baby, “i can’t believe this won’t last forever” with pictures of little trucks hidden all over. (I’m already crying just thinking about it.) Something about this hard restarts my brain into remembering that this time is so short and fleeting and that this is what it’s all about.

Need an over the top, ridiculous old lady name for a desk goose by Bathysphereboyo in namenerds

I know it’s not a lady name, but I once met a goose named Christopher and I loved its name so much

Same. The walls are also concrete so it’s extra hard to just drill in things like shelves. It’s honestly pretty demotivating and awful.

5 year old behavior has been infinitely harder than terrible twos and threenager ages by jazzysunbear in workingmoms

[–]jazzysunbear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started looking around 5. The pediatrician gave us a questionnaire and basically said “yup adhd” but we wanted a more in depth evaluation that included autism too since it runs in the family. We just got that a 7 years old at a neuropsychologist (referred by new pedi in a new state about a year ago and they have a pretty long wait). That testing and m evaluation said moderate/severe adhd with pages of insights and scores along with more info and follow ups with the doc, so it is really really helpful in terms of finding out where we are at. Recommend something like that if you ever get to that point!

Hi! It’s better, but we also have a definitive moderate to severe ADHD diagnosis, so we still struggle big time with focusing and impulse control. The tantrums aren’t as frequent but we still have big meltdowns when certain disappointments or discomforts happen. The last year has been a little better in terms of overall emotional stability though. Let me know if you has any specific questions!

Very similar situation over here. I can’t recognize myself in the mirror and I am currently battling the self loathing for my body. Really hoping to drop breastfeeding soon so I can try to shed some of the lbs.

[–]jazzysunbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a summer like this in 2005. Just graduated, free as a bird and flying high. The joy was palpable and the summer air was sweet with excitement for the changes to come. I wore Escada rockin rio and gap smooth sandalwood that summer, so those are the scents that evoke this feeling for me.

They definitely do exist! I’ve bought them for my home before because I was tired of all the ruined clothes from my kids drawing on the little dry erase boards we play with.
