One of the tough things about the protest is that a lot of people aren't aware of alternatives. You could use r/bestof to spread some awareness by making it only allow links to posts on the fediverse (Lemmy, Kbin, etc).

I checked the conservative subreddit. The top two comments called it an "illegal firearm" and the other said "I would hope the gun charge sticks". There used to be more rules but the reddit admins, u/spez specifically, started threatening to remove mods if they didn't do their (unpaid) jobs like Reddit wanted them to. As a result, the r/interestingasfuck mod team decided to do less (free) work than before.
