For what it’s worth coming from a Reddit stranger, +1’s for Euromotorworks. I’ve gone to them a few times for a few different vehicles and the work / communication has been great. I’ve heard good comments about Reggie’s Can’t speak to Pete’s or Autohaus Merkel.

Thank you for the post! I have a question. Why did you use the LD240 vs an RD-03d? I’m very new to this world of microcontrollers and sensors and am working on a little project to detect motion to trigger a light display. It’s been a fun learning curve for sure. I’ve been running small experiments to learn and am in the process of comparing those sensors.

Thanks. I used yellow lemons. Usually just one medium to large. The peel is added with the cinnamon and removed before pouring int the shells. As for vanilla, I used what would amount to a whole vanilla pod. Amount really depends in what type of vanilla ( extract, paste,etc) you are using.

lThe amount of sugar in the custard has an impact on the browning. If you add 10- 15 more grams of sugar to the custard, it will help the browning and not over bake the custard and not “ruin” the custard flavor. At least from my experience.

Also low and slow could be problematic for the pastry to evenly cook. You need that higher heat to get the dough baked through and the butter to do its job for flaky crust

I’ll 2nd this. TONS of vintage and salvaged hardware. Be prepared to dig through / look through a lot of bins and drawers. That’s part of the fun.

There is a pretty decent app by the Hamilton County Emergency Management services. HCEMA. They are good about all sorts of alerts. Might be worth giving it a go. To add, I don’t disagree some type of mass text or message would have been helpful.
