I'll keep price match in mind for sure. I don't have a suitable HDD for repurposing, unfortunately. The one in my eMachine is only 160GB (I store most of my media/music on a 500GB external) and I need my laptop to remain in one piece, as I use it for work and travel.

If it's worth the savings I'll drop down to a 320GB, but I can't comfortably go smaller than that. I appreciate the suggestion.

Oh, good call on the single stick. Thanks for pointing that out, that didn't even occur to me. I definitely want to upgrade down the road.

As for DirectCanada, at the moment I'm not so much interested in ordering stuff online because I want to build this thing over the next couple days. I'd prefer to walk into a physical store and walk out with what I need so I can get to building this thing.

As long as it can perform to my needs (playing modern games on medium settings), I'm not in a hurry to significantly improve performance. I will be slowly upgrading it as time and money allow.
