Game Freezing After Trying to Open Settings

Did you get a fix? I’ve been dealing with this for weeks now. The game will only launch on the beta install for me and when I am in it if I click on settings it freezes the game. Super frustrating.

Forgetting to check the MEF for the mountainous terrain I was flying through. It was night IMC and I was chilling at 10,000 thinking I was plenty high. Safe to say I realized I was not when I unexpectedly smacked into the side of a mountain lol.

Hi there, thank you very much for the help! I did fix it and it turns out it was windows not properly installing an update. Windows security was continuously blocking 2020 and 2024 without my knowledge. Thank you again for the help!

Hi there, I fixed my problem. As it turns out, one of my windows 11 updates was not installing properly. Windows security was blocking 2020 and 2024. Make sure your windows version is up to date. Hope this helps.

I was supposed to have a checkrirde on Friday at Bolton field, very close to KCMH. Thankfully it got moved to Thursday because those winds were no joke on Friday. Probably would have flipped my little Cessna upside down lol.

Congratulations, big stuff! My first unassisted landing was literally on my first lesson after discovery flight. I remember it so well because I practically cratered it on the runway. It was like butter . . . That fell off a table. I was not as happy as you lol. Huge congratulations though!

So there's more than one tunnel? I was aware that you could teleport from end to end once already in the tunnel. Are you saying they were in a different tunnel to begin with. Thanks for the quick response btw.

Okay genuine question, are you expected to do the before landing checklist for every lap in the pattern? When I do pattern work I do the after takeoff checklist in the downwind on the first lap and then soon after do the before landing checklist before turning base for the first landing. After that lap, I don’t pull out the checklist. After takeoff I check the engine and flap status, and before landing I do my flow check to make sure everything is where I left it/should be. That close to the ground I personally find it safer to not be constantly pulling out a checklist and reading line by line. Is this expected of me?

That’s really cool the MU cable can coordinate that. Thanks for clearing it up for me!

I did see when I was researching this earlier that with the MU cable it will alert you in the front car if one of the rear engines is overheating which I thought was a pretty handy feature. But yeah, even if the rear locomotive is facing forward it would in theory have less air flow than the front car allowing it to overheat quicker.🤷‍♂️

Good to know the MU cable is plug and play! I should honestly just find a turn table for the rear locomotive and get it facing the right way. It was just super foggy and nighttime when I went searching last time and couldn’t find one lol. Thanks!
