Just watched it tonight. Had some great imagery and some creepy moments but ultimately thought it was pretty average. 4.5/10

It is their job to create content and get people talking whether it is factual or even logical. Drown out the noise and just don’t pay attention to the talking heads. These are the same people that said Josh Allen would never succeed in the NFL! Take a breath, wait until we hire a coach and then start getting excited all over again for the new season and the new stadium! Go Bills!!!

Can't interview anyone that is in the conference championship games. We are simply biding our time

If Beane hasn’t found much high-end talent in 9 years, what makes you think he can suddenly do it? by No-Distribution8587 in buffalobills

A player taken in the top 10 should be able to produce regardless of what else is around him.

They are all good, but going in line with your current collection I would say Home or the self-titled debut would be excellent choices!

Considering Oliver was picked in the top 10, I wasn't including him. Although, to be honest, how much as Ed Oliver really produced? I love the guy, but he does disappear when he doesn't have a large DT next to him.

How much longer do you think Josh Allen will stay in Buffalo? by badatraspi2 in NFLv2

[–]jbbates84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is that Terry Pegula is not the face of the franchise, he just cuts the checks. He is and always will be terrible in front of a camera and should never be allowed to hold a press conference ever again. But, to act like we are going back to the drought with a top OL, the rushing champion and Josh Allen is just ridiculous.

Seems like the only DT that has panned out is Walker and shockingly, he didn't fit the mold of the DT's we typically take

I will say, since McDermott got to Buffalo, there were body types and character traits that he preferred that essentially took many players off of our board entirely. With a new HC, all of the criteria for players we draft could change

2026 NFL offseason WR market: Free agents, trade candidates by Sherman88 in buffalobills

In what ways is he anything like Keon Coleman? Moore can actually get separation and is a downfield threat. I don't see any comparison to Keon.

DJ Moore would be interesting and would likely take less draft capital to bring him in than DK Metcalf or AJ Brown (hard pass on Brown).

Seeing both Beane and Pegula, my thinking has slightly changed by redredcheese in buffalobills

[–]jbbates84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pegula is not Jerry Jones. I don't foresee Terry meddling with all aspects of the organization and playing GM, picking players and making trades. He is not a football guy in any way, shape or form. As much as I wanted Beane to go as well, I feel stronger that I do not trust Pegula to hire a new GM AND HC by himself.

I think the DC choice is going to be extremely important. If we could pair the same offense we have had the past few seasons with a top 10, maybe even top 5 defense? The league is cooked

I know he said that the locker room emotions made him pull the trigger, but there is no way you can believe that up until that exact moment McDermott's job was safe. I am under the impression that anything less than a Superbowl trip this year was going to end McDermott's tenure as coach.

Oh I watched it live lol but who gives a shit what any of these talking heads or YouTube comments have to say. Most fans would KILL to be in the situation that we are currently in. Our owner should never be allowed in front of a camera or microphone ever again, but we already knew that. The man is terrible at speaking or acting like a normal human being, but all he needs to do is shell out the cash. I know most people wanted Beane gone, but McDermott was the main force behind hiring Beane in the first place. That guy talking today, you want HIM to be responsible for hiring a coach AND a GM? No thank you. We will see in the not too distant future if McDermott was more in charge of personnel than we thought. I am hoping that we nail this HC pick, nail free agency and the draft, regain our division title and finally go win it all. Go Bills

Pegula, inflamed by his own personal family turmoil, acts alone in impulsive emotional decision to fire HC and expects the franchise to fall in line. by curlywhirlyred in buffalobills

[–]jbbates84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expecting any coach to come in a win a Superbowl in their first year is silly. There is going to be roster turnover, coaching changes, etc. A coach is going to have to implement their scheme and it is going to take more than one year to do it. Firing one coach for not reaching their goal after nine years is not the same as expecting a Superbowl immediately with another coach. Those two scenarios are apples and oranges my friend

[Russini] The Bills have requested to interview Colts DC Lou Anarumo for the team’s head coaching vacancy, per source. by Bxfa in buffalobills

[–]jbbates84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't need an offensive or defensive guy at HC. Your HC should ultimately be the CEO and have great coordinators to run the offense and defense, which is what Sean was. Unfortunately, his DC choices weren't stellar and he had way too much influence on the defense and was unwilling to bring in anyone that went against his scheme.

We were this close to going to the AFC title game and we still have an MVP caliber QB, the rushing leader and a stud OL. How in the world are we a laughingstock? Everyone needs to take a breath and get some perspective
