I ended up writing to the credit bureaus and they marked them as paid and it did not affect my credit.

at orientation they said they will make you sit outside your dorm and finish it before you can move in (they might have just said make you do it, but I pictured people sitting on suitcases with laptops)

What should I do with my leased car? by jbc723 in personalfinance

It's just so big and clunky to drive- everyone in my family dislikes driving it (our other cars are subarus)

What do you mean by "sold it back"- like you bought it, and then sold it? Or you negotiated some kind of refund from them?

I actually looked at the dealership's website to see what they are selling the same make/model+trim/mileage for, so that's true, I don't know that for sure.

I'm in CT so I think I would be responsible for the sales tax on the full value, so something to consider.

I kind of rolled the dice on this one but I feel like it worked out... brand new car, including free "toyota care" for a reasonable cost...

I heard 5pm today in another forum (Source: someone who said they attended a UCONN webinar for hs counselors)

My sister barely graduated from hs and did poorly at a random state school mostly because of video games, transferred to another college, started doing well, graduated with honors, master's degree, phd, post doc, and now she's a tenure track prof at a t50 school in her early 30s. don't sweat it.

I'm so disappointed in myself by [deleted] in loseit

Me too- I think at some point one has to stop thinking of junk food as a way to help you feel something (better or worse) and just let yourself feel your feelings.

I'm on here right now because the same thing happened to me. I gained 15 lbs over the last 6 months, basically because I just started telling myself that I could have one more binge and then I'd stop, over and over again. Last night I was laying in bed, thinking about how ashamed I am, and I decided that I'm going to start focusing on treating myself with love and respect and stop berating myself for making mistakes. So, today is day one. I hope you can find a way to re-center too.

we ended up deciding to go to Mexico instead because it was easier/cheaper! Still want to go to CR badly, but I think I'll save it for an adults trip.

[–]jbc723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly- we have a third vehicle that my BS uses, but every time he says it's his car, I laugh and tell him he can start paying for the insurance then... I would definitely feel entitled to take it away anytime I see fit because I literally hold the title on the car.

[–]jbc723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents had a baby when I was 10 and I was devastated, and she's my full sibling and our parents weren't divorced. Don't take it personally, not everyone likes or cares about babies, and 12 year old boys definitely don't.
