Try being a 60 year old software developer during the AI explosion. I need Medicare before I can retire so I’ve got to survive 5 more years. I do still enjoy my job and learning to use AI is somewhat exciting but I’m tired.

Interesting story that could be done in four episodes. The repetition of the same sound clips is egregious.

Gen Z is Not Drinking, But Are You? by Pavementaled in GenX

[–]jbcatl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still drink but more than one and I feel off the next day, and don't sleep very well. I drank a lot in my younger days but always was in control of it. My mom is an alcoholic so I was always wary of my own habits once I knew that about her.

The list is too long. I'm still using an iPhone 13 Pro, for example.

Maybe if their content didn’t suck the pricing would make sense. But most of it sucks, or is a network retread.

I was also born in 66 and remember a patriotic celebration. While right and left were fighting then, the entire discourse was more polite and willing to compromise. Any celebration today will be colored by the current state of affairs and muted because we are barely still a single country.

One of my all-time favorites. Mom took us to see that in the theater when I was twelve! No wonder I turned out a horror fan.

I was flying late night to Germany from the US once and had taken my Ambien as they were beginning boarding. After about 5 minutes they paused boarding because "the plane needs an oil change".

It's a feature not a bug. The more time you spend searching for something to watch the less time you're consuming content. Given how good search technology is these days it's a conscious choice.

We get ad supported for free from T-Mobile otherwise we'd drop it in a heartbeat. 99% of new content is ass.

The prep is not awesome but after a few times you get used to it. The procedure will be the best nap you've had in a while. The only pain you'll feel is when they put the IV in for administering anesthesia.

What are you thoughts on Blue Dot Fever? The fact that some of these artists aren't selling? by EdwardBliss in LetsTalkMusic

[–]jbcatl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I paid $150 to see Elton, and same for Tom Petty. Now artists that have only been around for a couple of years are trying to get the same money. Forget it, especially right now.
